Great Tool in the Garage
Changing the oil in my jeep, found some metal sparkles in it and the oil filter. Panic set in on where could this be - flat tappet cam, lifters, distributor gears, or something else?? This Borescope saved me a ton of time and money. Bought this and 2 days later, was able to drop the scope down into the timing cover, cylinders and intake valley to look cam lobes. Found that it was the distributor gear eating up the cam gear without taking apart the engine! Very helpful given the cam gear isn't visible from outside the timing cover on an AMC 360.The light is bright and the angle on the camera scope can get into some tight spaces. Ability to change the brightness of the light was helpful too when getting up close to things. Camera movement takes some time to get used to - but to be expected when the camera is upside-down, hidden inside the engine.Picture is good and the autofocus works well. Controls are easy to manage. Solid, sturdy unit - and definitely good for the price, compared to the "commercial" brands.Would recommend for the price and features.Ver másVer menos
