  A good complimentary tool!

  I'm normally a DeWalt guy when it comes to cordless tools, but ever since I saw Worx had updated their switchdriver with a brushless version I've been wanting one. I grabbed it while on sale, as well as an adapter that allows it to be used with DeWalt batteries so that I don't need to add a Worx charger to my setup for a single tool.I just finished using it for the first time on a small project that required pilot holes and screws and must say it's fun to use. It's lighter than I expected. Given that it's a 20V tool, I was expecting the tool to be heavier, but it reminds me of a 12V tool as far as weight, which is a good thing. It only took a few pilot holes & screws before using the "switchdriver" became second nature.I subtracted a start because I'm not a fan of the electronic clutch and there's a little play in the head. You have to cycle through the values to get to a lower value (a "-" button would be a good addition). The play didn't affect what I was working on, but I wouldn't use this to drill a precise hole; it's niche is repetitive assembly tasks that don't require a high degree of precision. Also, the play is much less than what I saw from the comparable Skil model when I saw it in store.Overall, I wouldn't recommend this as a primary drill, but for someone who has a lot of tools and only needs this as a convenience tool, I think it's great for the price!Note: If you plan to use this with an adapter to another battery system like myself, make sure you don't leave the adapter on the battery, keep it with the tool. If the adapter is on the battery, whether or not it's plugged into the tool itself, the battery can drain.Ver másVer menos
