  Great training aid

Love these fins. I’ve been swimming for years and don’t have much of a kick. I bought these to put a leg workout into my swim and boy do they deliver! After using the fins my kick without them has improved dramatically in the first session. Makes me wonder why I never tried training fins in the first place.Ver másVer menos

Worked well until one ripped. Wrong fit?

The XL worked well for my men's size 10 Wide foot, despite their stated size range being men's 8 - 9.5 (but see bellow). At times when my feet were slightly swollen I used a few drops of liquid shampoo to allow them to slide on smoothly. Once on, they were comfortably snug - no danger of coming off accidentally while lap swimming.(Related tip - no tears baby shampoo works well as an anti-fog treatment for goggles, so I always have it handy in my swim gear.)After perhaps 150 to 200 sessions of lap swim workouts wearing the fins, over the course of 2 years, one of the fins recently ripped at the edge of the toe opening. The other one has the beginnings of what will become a rip. I expect these are a consequence of the snug fit.I'm left wondering whether to purchase another pair of these fins or to play roulette with the size, propulsion performance, and ruggedness of a different design. I wish these had a larger size to select because I like their performance in the water. I don't understand why the manufacturer doesn't better serve the US customer base, with men's sizes commonly in the range of 10 to13.Finally, to correct some misconceptions prevalent in other reviews, these fins definitely do not float. They sink. That makes them a poor choice for use in deep or murky waters or in the surf, where dropping one likely results in losing it. Your legs are higher in the water while using them because they provide a more effective kick, not due to buoyancy.Ver másVer menos

  Good fit and propelling

I just started finning so I was looking for something with good quality. I have tendinitis in my ankles and Achilles tendon so I wanted to make sure the fit didn’t irritate my heel. I felt a slight discomfort while putting them on but overall I liked the fit. I’m a size 10 women’s and it felt fine. The shape is exactly what my aqua personal trainer and rehabilitation specialist recommended. My favorite thing is how fast I can propel myself.Ver másVer menos
