Great for tube feeding a chicken!
I realize my use case might be somewhat unorthodox, but I've been using these 18 Fr catheters to tube feed a blind chicken who is recovering from surgery and not self-feeding, and they are absolute perfection for the job.My routine is simple: I place a mark five or six inches up from the opening to ensure it reaches the crop, attach a 60 mL syringe, preload the catheter to eliminate air pockets, insert, and voilā. They are firm enough to easily feel along the throat for proper positioning, yet pliable enough to keep the bird comfortable. Their gauge is also large enough that they can't easily enter the glottis, which is a huge help for preventing aspiration.I sincerely doubt backyard poultry keepers were on the manufacturer's expected customer list, but I couldn't recommend these more highly to anyone who needs to tube feed a chicken.I'll try to follow up at some point with a video once I get one recorded.Ver másVer menos

No secure seal.
I only gave one star because there was not a way to give no star. They leak and are not secure. I have tried 2 and will try them all. they have no return once open so if they are defective there is no recourse no returns. I am a former professional licensed Colon Therapist and know how to use enema equipment and accessories. I would not reorder or recommend these to be used in any capacity as enema equipment.Ver másVer menos

Good quality
Good quality, good price and do the job. Comes a good amount for the price. Very glad I found this. Used for enemas.

Too flexible
Used for Gerson Enema. The tube is difficult to insert with lube. I end up inching it in 1/2 inch at a time. The tube can kink inside and no fluid will flow. I like the idea of a longer tube, but this isn’t practical.
