Going to be an affordable, quiet life saver durring a hurricane.
I've been lucky not having a hurricane hit for the last two hurricane seasons living here in NC. But with the unpredictable weather, I knew it was only a matter of time before my luck ran out. I decided it was time to invest in a generator to avoid being caught off guard.I wasn't looking for something too over the top. Just something I could move around easily, wouldn't make too much noise, and was affordable. Decided to give this generator a try and was pleasantly surprised. I honestly didn't know a generator this quiet could put out this much power. One thing I will stress is to read the instructions and check the oil before running. It looked like there had been oil in this at some point, but it was empty when I got it.Giving it a dry run so I'm not scrambling on the day of a hurricane, I took it out and connected my power tools to it and did some light work around the pool area with it. It was, again, surprisingly quiet and easy to move around. The portability of this generator is a huge plus. It has a handle that make it easy to lift. It’s light enough that I can load it into my truck without any help, which is a game changer for me.So much so that I think I might actually take this on my camping trip later this year. In the past, I'd always used larger generators borrowed from my Dad that were loud. They'd have to be kept 100 feet or more away from the tent and stored in the outhouse for us to be able to sleep. This generator is such a stark contrast to that I'm looking forward to having fans again without all the noise.Another thing that stood out to me was how fuel-efficient it is. I ran it for several hours, powering my tools and some outdoor lights, and it hardly used any fuel. This means I won’t have to carry as much fuel on camping trips or worry about refueling it constantly during a power outage.Plus, it gives me peace of mind knowing that when a hurricane finally does come, I'll be prepared. The power output is more than enough to keep my fridge running, lights on, and even charge my phone.Ver másVer menos
