Excellent blanket / water repellent and comfortable
TLDR - soft, doesn’t make me over heat and dogs love it. Not waterproof but nothing has leaked through so more like water repellent. Not fur repellent but fur doesn’t stick as easily to it as a normal blanket.I have two large dogs and was in the middle of potty training the one. I bought 2 different blankets to try for my bed as they climb up in the middle on the night. The first one was another brand and was fleece like, excellent at water repelling (I spilled a water bottle on it and the water just wicked off & the puppy had a few small accidents and I was able to clean easily just by blotting and throwing in the washer. Water/pee just kind of beads up ontop) but felt like you were sleeping under a trashbag; it just kept so much heat. That blanket is now on my couch as a cover.I purchased this blanket in size 80x102” and it is excellent so far. It does leave some drool wet spots on it and liquids do not “bead up” on it but I haven’t had issues with anything leaking through. I will have to do a test run with my water bottle as the puppy is now accident free & will update, however he did throw up on it an few times and that did not leak through any layers. Size wise, it is on my queen bed and covers the entire bed with enough length that it drapes over the sides and foot of the bed. I can sleep comfortably under it without over heating and it’s very soft. I don’t LOVE the quilted pattern, but I couldn’t find one in my price range that came in a color I liked AND was water/fur repellent as well as comfortable to sleep under. That being said, I love that I can sleep knowing if anything happens my blankets underneath under aren’t ruined and I can easily throw this one in the washer with no issues. Side note - wash this by itself as it holds water and sometimes I need to run a second rinse cycle but it dries fairly quick in the dryer. Is it fur repellent? Sort of. I find fur doesn’t accumulate as much on this blanket as a normal blanket, but you will still get fur stuck to it. Over all, for the price, size and ability to sleep without worrying about bedding being ruined or wet, I do really like it. I would highly recommend this for beds, couches or road trips in the car.Ver másVer menos
