  Light and Super Warm Jacket - Good in Wind and Light Rain

  This jacket is just what I was looking for. It is fairly lightweight, but very insulative against wind, and fairly water-resistant.The zipper is plastic, but it seems to be a fairly tough type that I think will last for a little while. I like that the jacket has a flap that covers the zipper and snaps tight over the top of it.The pockets are well placed and help carry extra gear when needed.I have not really felt the cold while wearing it even in strong gusty winds. My other soft shell jackets felt like the wind went right through them. Temperatures where I live have only gotten down into the 30s F so far this winter though, so not sure how it will fare in much colder weather.The fur in the hood is a little bit much, and when it's pulled up over my head it tends to get in my eyes a little bit. It's not so bad if I wear a baseball cap or something under it. It does help keep wind off my neck and ears though.Rain drops bead up pretty well on the fabric, and on some days I've been able to swipe or shake almost all the water off the jacket before bringing it indoors.About the only other thing I noticed is that the velcro that tightens up the collar across under your chin only has one spot where it attaches and on me it's a little loose. I wish there was a couple more spots for the velcro to attach so you could get that adjusted a little more.I got a Large, and sizing seems just right.All in all I'm very pleased with the jacket. If the zipper holds up well, it would be the best one I've had in a long time.Ver másVer menos

  warm, well-made, flattering design

  I hardly ever submit reviews here but this jacket is fantastic. easily the best winter coat I've owned EVER. seriously, and I've owned some good ones! what especially pleases me is that it is incredibly warm, even in winter winds (I walk everywhere) YET it doesn't make me look like I am puffed up or 3 times wider than I actually am. It's SLIMMING (and I ordered an XL just to be on the safe side because depending on how things are made L can be just a bit too tight for me. and yet it's comfortable; I can stretch, reach, turn and bend forward without feeling restrictive tightness. The cuffs stay in place and stay snug. There's no elastic at the waist/bottom- which was a selling point for me, but there's a secure pull cord to tighten the fit there when needed. When zipped up to the top it covers my neck right to my chin. The detatchable hood fastens snug closed right under my chin. the pockets are placed in practical places with the lower ones being just right to put my hands in them comfortably and the front pockets snap closed. It truly is water-resitant too. My only criticisms which are very minor for me are (a) the artifical fur on the edges of the hood is... it looks kind of cheap in comparison with every other visual of the coat, and (b) the zipper in front feels like it might not last as long as everything else. The connecting metal on the side where there zipper isn't when it's unzipped feels like it could give before any other part of the coat is anywhere near giving. But, it's not terrible, I appreciate where it ends (at the waistline, not at the bottom hem of the actual coat) because this reduces strain ON the zipper, and the front also snaps closed from top to bottom. all the stitching is thorough and secure. the faux-fleece lining is SO WARM and is removable. NOTE: one suggestion I'd like to add is- if you would ever consider ordering and donating a coat to a needy cause, I truly feel this would be an IDEAL choice. it's quality compared to affordability inspired me to order another to donate.Ver másVer menos

  ABSOLUTELY AWESOME

  I bought this coat for my son - and he has received so many compliments on it! It is super, duper warm, fits perfectly, great repellent outside material but super warm and cozy lining on the inside. Even the hood has warm, cozy lining. Pockets are nice and deep for bulky winter gloves. Very well-made and I think it will last for years. Definitely worth the money!   Very warm! Keeps wind out

  This jacket isn't very thick, and I wasn't expecting great things - but I'm pleasantly surprised. The jacket is comfortable when you're just standing around, and if you're doing even light shoveling you'll be very warm! It also keeps the wind out very well!The exterior breast pocket is great for storing gloves or other small items. The interior breast pocket easily fits a smartphone. The two lower, front exterior pockets snap closed, which is great, and they're deep enough for smartphones and other large items. There are more pockets than you'll probably ever use.I would like it if the zipper were heavier duty. It's light plastic, and it works. You just have to keep it straight and taut. If it gets caught, back up a little and straighten the jacket and you'll be fine.The hood is large enough to wear a hat under, and you get a good seal when you Velcro the chin strap. Helps keep the wind off the back of your neck and the snow off your hat!I had read other reviews about stitching quality or having received a dirty jacket. Neither of these things have been a problem. The durability seems fine. I've got no stitching that's coming undone or appears that it will be a problem in the future - and I feel like I've actually closely inspected all the stitching on the jacket because of other reviews.Ver másVer menos

  Warm, comfortable and well made.

  I bought this coat, after an extensive search, based on the reviews. It exceeded my expectations. I really hate the cold and wearing multiple layers, and this coat kept me warm with just a t-shirt under it, in temperatures ranging from 4 - 22 degrees. The liner is soft and warm, the faux fur around the hood fluffed out nice after unpacking, the zippers work fine, the phone pocket holds my iphone perfect and the other pockets function well too. Overall, it is a well made, warm, comfortable coat, well worth the money. The only "flaw' is that the diameter of the hole for the draw-string is way larger than the string itself, causing the string to slip out and not cinch up.Ver másVer menos

  Awesome deal on a great jacket

  So far used this on a trip to Europe for the Christmas markets and if was fantastic! Very warm but not to bulky and it’s very stylish as well!
