Very cool and perfect mechanism to nanny the fish food!
My husband needed this for the fish while we were out of town. It worked perfectly. He kept it set up and only uses it when we are not available. Works perfectly, dispenses just the right amount and when it’s needed it works. Definitely recommend!

Convenient Feeding Solution with a Small Modification
I purchased the FREESEA Aquarium Automatic Fish Feeder for my home aquarium to ensure my fish are fed regularly, especially when I’m away. This device has largely met my expectations, providing a convenient and reliable feeding solution with just a minor adjustment needed for my setup.The automatic feeder is easy to install and program. It offers multiple settings to customize the feeding schedule and quantity, which is great for maintaining a consistent feeding routine. The build quality is solid, and it operates quietly and efficiently.However, I did encounter an issue with the amount of food dispensed, particularly for my smaller tank. Initially, the feeder dispensed more food than necessary, which can be problematic in smaller aquariums where overfeeding can quickly lead to water quality issues. To remedy this, I placed a piece of tape over part of the dispenser’s mouth. This simple modification allowed me to better control the portion size, ensuring my fish received the right amount of food without overloading the tank.This adjustment was a small but necessary step to make the feeder work for my specific needs. It’s something to be mindful of for those with smaller tanks. Adjusting the dispensing mechanism or using a similar modification can help prevent overfeeding.Apart from this, the feeder has been a great help. It’s been reliable in dispensing food at the set times, and I haven’t encountered any jamming or malfunctioning issues. Worked perfectly while on vacation!
The Freesea fish feeder worked perfectly while we were away on a 16-day vacation for our fresh water fish tank using tropical flakes. We set the feeder to feed every 8 hours and it appears to have worked perfectly, not over or under feeding.

Great unit. Not so great customer service or instructions.
First let me say that this is a great product. I went away for 5 days and set the unit to feed at 12 hour intervals and had no problems with it. I used a combination of micro pellets and flakes to prevent jamming, which worked well. Once I had the dispenser set correctly, I did not have to touch it again. I did not lose any fish and everything worked the way I expected it to.Second, the unit was shipped with no problems. It was packed well and included a USB cable, a feed ring and 2 mounting systems for the unit. The mounting systems slide on and off the unit easily and attachment is pretty self explanitory. The feed ring attaches to the inside of the tank and is nice to have but not required.All in all I am quite happy with this unit.There are a couple of things that you should be aware of, which is why I only gave this a 3 star rating.They lost a star because they stated "please feel free to contact us at any time. 24-hour Professional After-Sales Service." and I could not find any contact information in the instructions or the box. When I searched the Freesea store, there was a company address and a contact phone number in China. I had a question about the unit and had to go through a lot more than I would expect to get an answer. I ended up using Amazon chat for the answer.They lost another star because no where in the instructions does it tell you how to turn off the unit. There is no power button and the battery is encased in the unit so you cannot remove it. By sheer dumb luck we figured out that you double press the manual feed button to shut the unit off.Good unit, lacking on customer service and instructions not complete.Ver másVer menos
