  Perhaps the Nicest Purse I've Ever Owned

  This bag is exceptionally well made. Because it is nylon and not leather, it is also very light, and easy to wipe down if a spill should get on it. The details in the design make it really stand out. All of the zipper pulls have a satin finish and a uniquely friendly feel. Now that I have it in my hands, I realize how superior it is to the cheap bags that I have been purchasing.In my opinion, this bag is the perfect size - neither too small nor too large. There are lots of zippers and pockets and places for all of my items, including a slip-in pocket with a magnetic snap closure which is perfect for my cell phone. The lining is lovely and the center compartment of this purse is very roomy and well gusseted for expansion. Everything about this little bag is attractive, the fabric the hardware, the tiny logo on the front.You will not be disappointed if you buy this bagVer másVer menos

  Great bag!

  There are so many great things about this bag.It has many slots, and spots to organize everything. It is so hard to find the perfect bag that is not too big, not too small, and will hold what you need to carry without being too heavy. This is all of that for me.I think it is cute as well, not as plain as some bags I was looking at.The slots are the right size to easily grab a card at the checkout quickly.The zippers perform well and do not get caught. It is a very good quality bag that will last for years.I really like that the front compartment zips closed and also has a flap that secures down. Your valuables are safe and secure and will not fall out.What I don't like about it:The strap is so slippery it is difficult to keep it on your shoulder when you are using the bag as a shoulder purse. I ordered a strap grip and that is helping but it isn't perfect. If they made the strap in a different fabric, it would really be perfect.Edit.I gave up on the strap and ordered a canvas one. It is making all the difference. Huge improvement. I’m not sure why this manufacturer provides such a slippery strap, but I really did not care for it. I absolutely love this purse and it doesn’t even show any wear after all this time, but it really needed an upgrade on the strap!Ver másVer menos

  Love it

  Just as described. I like Baggallini because bags are light weight and have multiple pockets. Bag is nylon vs cotton, so it is very black (which is what I want) and it will stay black. I like the gray interior which allows you to more easily see inside the various sections. I love the line which secures a key fob.It is a small sized bag, but fits my needs. I eliminated my wallet and used the pockets provided. I thought the flap over the wallet area would be a hassle, but it isn't.I would like the zippers to have a slightly longer zipper pull (puller) so they are easier to grad onto.Ver másVer menos

  Mismatched zippers on an otherwise well designed and fabricated bag

  This is my second Baggallini bag. The first one is still in perfectly usable condition but I wanted to try something a little bigger and more business-casual. My first one looked more utilitarian — almost like a camera bagPROS:Lots of separated compartments for organizing.I like that the front pocket is RFID and has both a two-way zipper and a latched flap to secure it. (I’m not the biggest fan of built-in wallets but I’m getting used to it.)It also seems as well-made as my first Baggallini which was the only purse I used for over 3 years. That one still isn’t frayed or torn but the finish on the metal zipper pulls and logo is wearing down to show some of the copper base metal. I can and will still use it. I think I should get as much use from the new bag.CONS:My biggest criticism is that all the zippers are nylon (which I like) EXCEPT the zipper on the front, just above the flap. That one has metal teeth. Aside from not matching the other zippers, which is irksome, I don’t personally like metal zippers because they scratch my knuckles when I reach in. I try to keep items I need to access less often in that pocket to avoid getting scratched.Another issue is that the main compartment is a bit deep and wider at the bottom than the top (like a pup-tent) so items migrate into a pile at the bottom and I have to rummage blindly. I may have to use a pouch in there but that’s another thing to carry. There was no rummaging in my previous Baggallini because everything I needed (and nothing more) fit exactly. At least I can fit extra items (when I need to) in the new bag.The fabric is “sparklier” than I like but not over the top. Not glittery but almost sharkskin.There’s a grommet on the left side of the back pocket — I assume for feeding a cord thru. I don’t use cords but hoped to use that hole for a split ring to hook my keys into… except I always carry my bag on my left shoulder which then puts the keyring behind me and makes it awkward to access when my arms are full. As it is, I hook my keys to the handle hardware. That makes it fussier to get into the back pocket so I often let them dangle (I’d rather not). Maybe a grommet on each side would be more versatile.BOTTOM LINE:I deducted one star for the mismatched zippers. I wanted to deduct 2 because it made no sense to have that but the rest of the purse deserves more than 3 stars. The zipper mismatch really should be corrected. I didn’t deduct any stars for the compartment depth, fabric, and unusable grommet because those are mostly subjective criticisms.

  Practical, roomy and gold zipper choice!

  Love this brand and rely on it for travel but I also like them for everyday. The gold hardware was a new to me choice. It really elevates the bag and allows for a dressier look. Although it looks to be on the smaller side- the interior widens at the bottom which allows for expansion to accommodate bulkier items like a water bottle or a small collapsible umbrella. When empty it is quite flat and easy to pack if needed.Plenty of organization is built in with exterior double closure wallet section, and several other zippers/areas.   Elegant, very functional travel bag.

  Absolutely delighted with this bag! First this is an Amazon resale and the description said it was used but in very good condition and it is. It actually looks brand new to me. And it cost quite a bit less. I love it. It looks elegant with the gold closing buckle and it is so well designed with lots of pockets. It will be very useful for traveling. The strap is just the right size, not too thin or too wide like some bags are nowadays. I will definitely make good use of this when going to France soon.Just received another Calais Baggallini bag, but in the color blue, which is lovely. Nice blue that can go with everything. It is also a resale and looks brand new. Very happy with this purchase.Ver másVer menos
