Where has this been my whole life???
Wow - this is THE BEST PURCHASE I've made for my phone in a looooong time. I wish I had found this device earlier.I started with the ever-popular pop-socket. While I liked the concept (waaaaay helpful for holding the phone), I quickly found out that it caused my other unintended hassles...for one, a pop-socket gets in the way when I put the phone down on its back (becomes wobbly) or try to slide it into my pocket (the pop socket just catches/gets in the way). It also doesn't hold the phone up in portrait mode, onlhy works in landscape mode. Eventually, the adhesion stopped working and it fell off. I had quite liked how it made holding the phone so much easier, but at $20 I wasn't going to buy another one. So I just super-glued it on. That helped for a while until that came off...then my phone case was left with an unsightly glue residue. Plus, $20 for that rediculous thing, really???So, I guess I needed a new one. I decided to try another version that looks very similar to the pop-socket except it doesn't stick it on. Instead, it has a contraption that grabs on to each side of the phone. I liked it better as I could remove it when I didn't want it on the phone, and I could slide it up/down depending on how I wanted to use it as a stand. However, it had the same issue getting in the way trying to put it into a pocket. Annoying.Eventually, it was time for a new phone and the second device did not fit the new phone (too wide)....so back to searching for a new gadget. I came across this one and it solves nearly all of those previous issues (see the one caveat later). I LOVE how it has a very slim design, it holds VERY well (so far, at least, about one month in), and it is moveable in any/all directions to make the phone sit exactly how you want to. Plus, with it's design, it is even easier to hold as I can just dangle it from one finger like a key chain! <3<3<3 In fact, I use a mini-carabiner clip for my keys and I often clipped them to the kick-stand to keep everything together when I'm making a quick trip into a store. My most recent gadget revelation happened just a few days ago when I made a quick gas station bathroom run. I found myself in a gross stall with nowhere to place my phone...being a girl, I can't just slide it into my pocket (unless I'm ready to risk letting my phone take a nose-dive into the toilet)....and I hate placing it down on anything inside the stall (yuck). BUUUUUT, waaaait!....there's that coat/purse hook!! I justed stretched out the kickstand and hung the phone. VOILA - problem solved!**One and only negative - since I cannot remove it (it sticks on), you will not be able to use a wireless charging pads. Small price to pay, IMO, for all the other amazing things about this little device. Maybe this is a deal-breaker for you, but for me....I have no problem simply plugging the phone in when I need to charge.Seriously, best little handy-dandy device ever! When a $10 item makes life everyday a little better, it's a no-brainer
I've had this stand attached to my phone case for 10 months now; extended and turned it hundreds if not thousands of times at this point. Carried it in my pocket every day and it shows no signs of falling apart, so I can say with confidence that this thing is sturdy. While it does show signs of wear (the gunmetal finish is starting to wear at the edges)---pictured on the left case---it is still every bit as functional. It is stiff to turn and extend when you first buy it, but it breaks in after normal use.Everyone that sees it in action loves it, because it is so versatile and useful. I have bought it for several family members, it's that useful.Only cons I can think of is that it makes wireless charging with the case on impossible, and it makes the phone a tiny bit more bulky to carry in your pocket. But for me, the ability to sit my phone upright or on its side anywhere I go far exceeds those cons.UPDATE: a little over a year of using this daily the hinges are giving out. I was able to push the pins in with a vice grip a few times but it seems like it's reached the end of its life. Still worth it if I have to rebuy this every year, because it's a great phone stand.Ver másVer menos

Frequent, daily use.. no TRUE complaints
3 months later, it is still doing what I want. This stand goes through hard daily use in many ways and positions.Standing for various pictures, video chats, and entertainment as well as being used to carry my phone while my hands are busy. My 11 month old plays with it, positioning is changed frequently throughout very long video chats every day and entertainment purposes. It is still going strong.Only con is I can tell it is getting a little loose as some positions don't work as well, but it is so versatile that you can position a different way to have your phone still positioned how you want it. Just takes a second to figure out how to make it stand. Absolutely NOT a deal breaker and I will absolutely buy it again when it no longer works.Not as bulky as a pop socket and works 20x better.It does collect scratches and might not be as "pretty" as a pop socket or other stands but the functionality and durability is well worth everything.Straight up, tilted, sideways, downwards, even at an awkward angle, I promise this stand will pull it off.Ver másVer menos

A Standing Upgrade
It's only been a couple days so far, and I'll update if things change, but this was EXACTLY what I was looking for and needed.I have a phone case with a stand I liked, but the plastic on it cracked, so the stand wouldn't stay in a fixed position any more. I like a stand that lets me rotate and position for upright or sideways, and can also be used as a finger hold.So far this is nice and stiff, adhesive worked well, and the strength and positioning abilities are miles above my old stand! I'm buying a second as a backup. I love how this one is so big I can basically use it as a handle. And now that I know it works perfectly for my needs, if the adhesive comes off, I'll just epoxy this to the case more permanently.Ver másVer menos

Falls off easily
I used to be OBSESSED with this product and it would last so long until it would be damaged after I dropped the phone. However, recently the last couple times I’ve bought it, it barely sticks to my phone. Nothing has changed (no new phone case or anything). I even tried sanding my phone case where the adhesive goes and it still won’t stick. It’ll just fall off… it NEVER used to do that. Won’t be buying this again. Will have to look for a different product unfortunately. Quite a shame since I did really love it when it worked.Ver másVer menos
