  Best to Get Name Brand

  It is best to get name brand. I purchased some generic brand Velcro on Amazon and it was not very sticky and did not hold very well.I recommend this product because the name brand Velcro is much more sticky and reliable for holding something to a table or a wall (or wherever you want to put it). Also what I like about this product, is it gives you a roll of Velcro and you can just cut off the exact amount you need, and therefore it actually lasts a lot longer.   Good for small items not for heavy things

  First off, if you're trying to hang something that weighs 5lb or more, you're better off using screws or nails.It works best on flat, smooth surfaces like plastic, metal, and marble. You can try it on more porous surfaces like wood or brick... but results will vary.With that said, this is fine for smaller items. You can mount them horizontally on a table or under an overhanging surface, or vertically on the side of a wall or some other vertical surface. It will even work well on a gently curving surface as long as BOTH sides that you're sticking together have matching curves.But make sure the surface is CLEAN before you apply them or the adhesive will fail before long.It's a single roll of "hook" style Velcro, and a single roll of "loop" style Velcro wrapped together. So you'll pull from TWO ends to cut your Velcro to the right length for what you need. It is NOT double-sided Velcro tape. The "hook" Velcro gets taped (by self-adhesive) to one of the things you're trying to stick together. The "loop" Velcro also has a self-adhesive back and it goes onto the other thing you're trying to stick together. Then you press to stick the Velcro together. Pull to separate the Velcro. The Velcro will separate without peeling the adhesive off, if you installed it right, so you can put the thing back again and it will still stick. If you know what Velcro is... this is that, but on two rolls of sticky tape.It works best on flat, smooth surfaces like plastic, metal, and marble. You can try it on more porous surfaces like wood or brick... but results will vary.I don't recommend using lengths less than 1.5 inches long, since that's not enough exposed Velcro to create a good hook/loop bond. So if you're trying to mount a tiny item... maybe look for some double-sided tape or hot glue instead.Ver másVer menos

  Works great for those pesky cushions!

  So far, so good. I realized my sister had applied these to a chair cushion and just HAD to try.Applied strips to my loveseat’s cushions which have been driving me crazy falling out and so far they seem to be holding tight! May order more, 5 ft doesn’t go very far when it comes to furniture…UPDATE: Definitely need to apply two strips facing each other horizontally if placing on underside of cushions to prevent cushion slippage. I just didn’t have enough to do both cushions this way. One side I applied with two and it’s still holding. The other side is now starting to slip out more and more. Would order two packs of strips if securing a loveseat, three packs if securing a couch.Ver másVer menos

  Real velcro is best

  Velcro is one of the most useful things to have around the house.Once you start using it, you find more and more reasons to use it.Yes you can buy it cheaper at Dollar stores and so forth, but those are not as good quality.

  Not a real strong magnet

  The adhesive on the magnet works real well, but the magnet was not strong enough for what I wanted. I was going to use it to mount a thermopro tp50 humidity/temperature gauge. I wanted a strong magnet so the gauge would not easily be knocked off.

  I am stuck and cannot get down.

  Okay first of all. WHAT A PRODUCT. I cannot speak highly enough about VELCRO Brand Sticky Back. Not only did this product arrive quickly (considering how much I purchased) but the quality and sheer adhesive strength of is just second to none. It turns out that if you sew a boat load of this stuff into your clothing, apply enough of it around the house and throw a few trampolines in the middle of the living room, you've got one heck of an afternoon! It's unreal. Really fun.UPDATE:My battery is running low. My phone is about to die. I'm also very light headed. Somehow I have managed to become too stuck to the ceiling. If anyone is reading this, please contact the OPP in Southern Ontario. Tell my family that I love them. At least I will die with the comfort of knowing how incredible this product is and the powerful bond we now share.Ver másVer menos

  GREAT PRODUCT!

  I used it to install lightweight under- cabinet lighting that I purchased from Amazon. Tried 2-way tape, but this is far superior. No mess. It was recommended to me and I only wish I had used it before I made such a mess with glue and sticky tape.
