  There is NO substitute for the Velcro brand. We purchased a cheaper brand it the adhesive was terrible and would not stick. We learned our lesson. This is working perfectly on the rockers on our chair as we don't want to scratch our hardwood floor. It is a great value for the money as it works!   Heavy duty stuff

  I used this to put up blackout blinds that I made from scratch, securing the fabric about an inch past the glass on all edges. I had previously tried command strips, those sticky bits that can hold up posters without messing up your wall, but the fabric was too heavy and fell down later in the day. I have only just finished with the velcro installation but it seems to be much sturdier and a better seal all the way around the window. It was easy to cut the strips to the right lengths, easy to make sure the hook side and the loop side were the same length since they're side-by-side on the same backing, relatively easy to cut the hook strips lengthwise for a section that needed to be narrower, and easy to secure to the window frame and blackout material (note that this is a vinyl type of material; I don't believe velcro would stick well to any other fabric). It didn't leave residue on the scissors that I couldn't easily rub off, although I wouldn't use my nicest sewing scissors on it, either. Both sides of the velcro seemed to hold their shape quite well and didn't stretch when I held them taut to apply them in straight lines, but they also were just flexible enough to adjust to an imperfectly straight line (we're talking about a millimeter deviation here) without buckling or folding. My only disappointment was the "dispenser box" which is just flimsy packaging with a well-placed hole in it. Just toss the box, for goodness' sake.Overall, I was impressed with the quality of this velcro and how easy it was to work with. My last piece of advice for those who order it: if you are trying to install a longer strip, only peel off a few inches at a time and press them down as you go.   FANTASTAGE

  First off, I want to say that I am using this Velcro for a purpose that is beyond its design; I have a covered patio, and in the winter I enclose it with thick mil clear plastic to protect from the Michigan winter elements, and enjoy my hot tub without snow blowing in on us. Every year I improve on my last years design, and with that being said, this year I wanted to create 2 "doors" to my back yard with the plastic, and every other concept I tried did not work. Finally, as a last ditch effort, I bought this velcro off amazon (BONUS: they offer it in beige, which works/matches perfectly to what I needed it to). Anyways I ended up applying this velcro to my metal siding on my house, and the other piece on the plastic, essentially creating a door (read: flap) that can be opened and closed. It worked PERFECTLY. I did have to superglue the one piece onto my siding, as it was too cold out to stick. Additionally, I used extra velcro on the plastic to create a furring strip of sorts, because I used a stapler to fasten the velcro to the plastic, and without the backing, the staples would pull right out.Right after I applied this velcro to my project, outdoors, we had a bad wind storm in michigan with 65+mph winds. The velcro did not budge, despite the plastic flapping like crazy. This tells me the actual velcro "hook and loop" is very strong. Color me impressed!!Ver másVer menos

  Greatest use of this: holding up remotes.

  As of right now, I have this tape holding up everything on my walls. Photos, Apple TV, routers, speakers, surge protectors... It's actually crazy how much stuff you can rip off my walls with a satisfying "FFCHHHHHT."However, there is one thing that makes people go "wow, I need that tape, because what you've done here is genius." And that is mounting TV remotes so you will never lose them again.I have one side of this (black) tape attached to the backs of 5 remotes. I have two long strips of the OTHER side attached to my (black) wall right next to the couch. I have all my remotes within arms reach now, and always know where to find them. No longer do I have to search my couch for the damn illusive Apple TV remote!Seriously, this stuff is great for remotes, but it's really just great for everything. It's a good replacement for hardware if you're looking to just mount some stuff easily, especially if you're considering moving them around.Get this and attach it to your remotes.
