Powerful, well made, a little noisy.
So much better than the consumer-grade pumps in the pet shops with plastic housings. This thing has the oomph to run multiple air stones in our pond with plenty of bubble power. The connectivity through the provided metal 6 port manifold is a huge plus. The pump itself is definitely noisier than a typical indoor aquarium air pump, but then, it is more powerful and is built more solidly. It is outside by a pond, where the noise is not objectionable. If it were in the house, I would have to find a way to deaden the sound. I think being inside of a wooden enclosed aquarium stand would take care of the sound level.UPDATE: Be wary of using this pond where it can get wet (as in outdoors by a pond). It just needs some sort of little "roof" over it, so it doesn't get any direct rain on it. Don't block it in. It needs air circulation around it or it will overheat. (I was able to disassemble mine, clean out the corrosion, and solder in a new wire to get it working again).Ver másVer menos
