  Works as expected

  Bought this to replace a failing door lock actuator on my Sierra. However I noticed that some pins are missing from the module. The problem is the passenger side door sensing must go thru the missing pins. Now my truck will not lock automatically and displays the passenger door is open.UpdateMiraculously the passenger door open message went away and the automatic door lock works. Will monitor.   Driver door open.

  On my wife’s 2008 Silverado she locked it one night and the next morning the alarm was going off. This happened several times in the next two hours and there was no horn chirp when you locked the truck with the fob. The interior light also quit working when you opened the door and when locked there was a car and lock icon showing on the instrument panel. When cranked and put in reverse the driver door open message appeared. This item fixed all the issues. It’s a little tricky to install but there are several YouTube videos and I recommend watching several before attempting this repair. One video and the only one that gave this tip was to remove the bottom bolt of the window regulator and bump the regulator back to give you room to work was really helpful.Ver másVer menos

  Good Buy for 07 chevy 1500 full Cab

  Installed this on my 07 Chevy 1500 along with new door cable . It’s somewhat easy to install if you have the proper tools to get the door panel out . Somewhat difficult to install , you have to remove a couple rods but there are videos. I bought a different one from a different seller and this one is better quality .Made me door sound more secure and feels like a new part when opening the door .Ver másVer menos

  2 months of use and already failing.

  Less than two months after purchase this actuator has started to fail.The latch assembly does not catch the latch pin if the door is pulled/pushed closed with a minimal amount of force. The door will bounce off the latch pin as if the mechanism is hanging up and won't engage around the latch pin.Originally I thought this was an alignment issue but after spending a couple hours trying to adjust the actuator, latch pin and all the actuation rods nothing improved.If the door is placed against the latch pin and lightly pushed it will engage and lock, most of the time. On one occassion the actuator appeared to latch and even locked but upon turning a corner the door swung open.A couple different attempts have been made to contact the supplier and no response has been received.Hopefully I just got a bad actuator and this isn't a common issue for others.Ver másVer menos
