Fast and affordable NVMe SSD with TLC NAND
I bought this SSD to upgrade my laptop's storage and I'm very happy with the performance and price. It was easy to install and recognized by Windows 10 without any issues. The drive is very fast, especially for sequential reads and writes, and it handles most tasks without slowing down. It also has a black PCB and a 5-year warranty, which are nice bonuses.The only drawbacks are that it doesn't have a software toolbox for monitoring or updating the firmware and that it has lower endurance than some of its competitors. However, these are minor issues for me, as I don't plan to use the drive heavily or for a long time. For the price, this SSD is hard to beat, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly NVMe SSD with TLC NAND.Ver másVer menos

Great price for a storage upgrade
I got this to upgrade a new laptop that simply didn't have enough storage. It was fast and easy to install it in my Dell laptop, fortunately - just open the 8 screws, pull off the lid, and swap it out. Some systems might be harder.Getting it working was a little harder, as I had to manually reinstall Windows and put my software on. If I was migrating from an old system to a new one, I'd have done a lot of backups, but this was nice and easy.Performance is great. Haven't had any issues with all that space; it just runs and doesn't complain. I've had a few SP drives before and these always work well. No regrets!Ver másVer menos

Does what it s supposed to…
For the price, this is a very fast, reliable and easy to use drive. It is solid state so it is fast and reliable, but can get hot in extreme conditions. I use this with a Blackmagic 4.6k ursa gen 2 and it works like a charm. No issues with transfers, dropped grams, or down/uploads. Used it to back up several gigs of data and smoked through it like butter. If shooting in 4K at the higher bit rates it will get hot. I have it in an inexpensive aluminum case, no bigger than the drive and it has not failed but does get hot, especially if your shooting in the sun. It’s a good drive at a good price. I own a lot of simple brand drives, memory cards and all have been rock solid. I highly recommend this company.Ver másVer menos

Cheaper than a budget SATA SSD but faster.
I have this on an older PCI-E 3.0 x4 slot and the drive is performing up to 1.4GB/s. I put my games on it and things that I wouldn't mind losing. This is quite a low price-point, so I'm not sure about long-term durability. But then again, anyone who wants to keep their stuff should have it on two drives regardless of what type. But this is the second Silicon Power drive I have in two computers, and both have thus far been flawless after 2 months of usage.Ver másVer menos

Good for external drive
Seems like a good NVME. So far no problems and it writes fast on a USB 3 adapter.

Excellent SSD Storage Cards At A Very Reasonable Cost
I installed two of these 2 TB SSD cards in my HP G4 Z6 Workstation with 8 Intel processors and 32 GB of RAM as I ran out of app memory using a 256 GB SSD card. Although, I had to reload all the previous apps including Windows 11 pro, it was worth the effort. I use the workstation for my video production and for teleconferencing on a daily basis. Both cards were easy to install and to program before reloading the apps.The app programs load up very quickly after booting up the computer as expected, although Windows 11 is a hog on using memory. It takes about 2 minutes to load up, where it took up to 10 minutes previously on a hard drive. I disable some of the extra Windows pro features as I don't need them. I probably won't need to add any more app memory for some time. Plus I have a 5 TB hard drive for saving my video work.The SSD card install and programming instructions were easy to understand. I never used their tech services. The only difficulty was adding the miniature screw to keep the SSD card in place. I had to magnetize my small bladed Phillips screwdriver to hold and insert the micro screw into the nut holder, which worked well. I just rubbed the screwdriver against a small magnet to do this. I also wore a grounding wrist band to prevent any static charge issues during the installation. Be careful not to touch the electronic chips on the SSD card if possible. Just make sure the computer is unplugged and don't do the installation on carpeted floors, which can carry static charges.After several months of use, I'm very happy with Silicon Power and their SSD cards!Ver másVer menos
