A nice Automatic, good value for the money
This is the first automatic watch I've ever bought myself. I think I had one when I was a kid, but I remember never wearing it, as digital watches were huge back then. After dozens of G-shocks and other digital watches, I got a Casio Duro dive watch a few years ago and absolutely loved it. I've been looking for an orange-dialed dive watch ever since, and as soon as I saw this Seiko, I pulled the trigger. The watch looks great - lots of style points and easy to read. I ended up changing the stock band to a black silicone one, and the watch looks less luxury and more sporty. The watch feels nice on the wrist - not too big, not too small. It's a dive watch, so no problem in the water. Complaints? It's a mechanical watch - you have to wear it or wind it every couple days or it stops. As someone who owns multiple watches and wears different ones day-to-day, this is difficult for me. I'll reach for the Seiko after not having worn it for a few days, and have to wind it and adjust the time and date - kind of a pain to do every time I want to wear it. The other bad thing? Accuracy, A mechanical watch typically varies as many seconds in a day as a quartz watch varies in a month. Even if I keep the watch wound and running every day, after a week it's off by a couple minutes. I use my watches to tell the time, not just for jewelry - so having an accurate timepiece is important to me. I still like this watch a lot, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in an entry-level Seiko. That being said, I don't think I'll be buying another mechanical watch. Read moreVer másVer menos
