Works great - just prices now-a-days has good through the roof. Shame on Samsung....selling the same technology for inflated prices. They do make the best SSD I feel.

Crucial BX500 not compatible with Dell XPS8930 BEWARE!
Today, I amending my original tough review because I found a way to get the Crucial SSD to operate as a boot drive. I still think the info on the site is lacking but the product is now working. The original rating of 1 is now changed to a 4.I purchased this Crucial BX500 1T SSD to replace a 1T HDD (spinning platter) that is still functioning but boots slowly in a Dell XPS 8930 Win 10 system. What a disappointment.My first attempt at using Crucial's proprietary cloning software took almost 17 hours to accomplish nothing. I interrupted it because it shouldn't take 17 hours for a job that should take no more than 3 hours.My second attempt with the software left me with a message that stated that there was only about a minute left but that message persisted for hours before I again interrupted it.My third attempt with the cloning software surprised me. After about 3 hours, the screen message stated that the cloning was successful and provided simple directions for the next step. Basically, it said shut down the computer, remove old HDD, install newly cloned Crucial SSD in its place, and reboot computer. This led to an endless loop of "automatic repair" and some other gibberish generated by the computer. After leaving it in this endless loop for 4 hours, I shut it down and reinstalled my original HDD.My fourth try replicated the third try leaving me in another endless loop to nowhere.While I was letting my computer try to complete the cloning task, I attempted to access Crucial's site and learn more about the cloning software. The only thing of potential value was a reference to another piece of software that might work better. Otherwise, the Crucial support site has to improve to be useless.Nowhere has Crucial or Acronis indicated that the BX500 is not compatible with my XPS 8930, Crucial BX500, or Acronis cloning software but I have determined that this is not a compatible combination.Although I do not qualify as a computer hardware expert, I have built several computers over the years, and yes, I have replaced HDDs and SSDs and made other repairs for friends. I have never previously had a situation where a cloned HDD or SSD failed to operate when I installed it.The final line is this. I will be returning this product to Amazon on the basis that it can't be installed in my computer. I will also warning friends of my experience.
