Works with dimmer
Used for bar lighting. Chose it because it works with a dimmer. In my case, a Kasa smart dimmer.

Works great, no issues
I used this driver for two 24V COB LED light strips. In total, at full brightness, they pull 120W. This driver had no issues with just on/off. After that, I connected it to a dimmer switch to see how well it would work. The driver worked perfectly, no issues at all.All of this was to test it for the permanent use. I have a light tray in a recess portion of my game room ceiling. Today, it has an older rope style LED (about eight years old now) and they are starting to go out in sections. I want to replace them with something a bit more modern and have the ability to dim (which I do not have today).It was easy to install. The top of the driver comes off to expose two compartments with wire leads. One compartment is for the incoming 120V wiring and the other side has two sets of 24V outputs. The metal box has knockouts so that you can run the wire through the side. It also comes with the fittings to clamp down on the wires after installation. Very happy with this driver!Ver másVer menos

Dimming not as advertised
Have a look at the attached spec sheet that came with the transformer.It plainly states 100% to 20% dimming, not the 100% to 10% which shows in the advertising copy on this page.Also note that it only recommends 2 specific Lutron dimmers and not the big list of dimmers also shown in the advertising copy for this product.I haven't installed it yet, so I can't speak to its performance, but it is a solid block of metal.Ver másVer menos

Real powerhouse
I was pleasantly surprised to see that we could wire all of our LED cabinet lights throughout our kitchen cabinets with this one driver. We have not experienced any shutoffs or flickering at all in the 3 months since we installed it and the dimming holds very well without any type of flickering whatsoever. This is rated for 200 W which is among the bigger of these type of LED drivers and I would definitely recommend as it is also a great value. Well built, ETL certified
Compared to a lot of cheaper options, this power supply has weight and heft, feels like a tank, and is built for the real world. It also appears to be capable of handling high current LED projects a lot better. At 80W load, where cheaper power supplies with 150W ratings reach 140F or more, this one stays around 105. Also, rather than just have thin wires coming out the side, this one has 2 separate steel compartments for cabling: 1 for "high voltage" i.e. the household current input and a separate compartment for the low voltage connection to the LEDs. And rather than 18AWG seen coming out of some other "high wattage" supplies, this one has 2 pairs of 14AWG output wires. The cabling compartments have 1/2 inch cable entry knockouts and it comes with 2 strain relief nipples so the cables in and out will be protected. This switching power supply is very good and is recommended to be purchased.
This is originally a 24 volt switching power supply specially designed for LED drivers. Its power can reach 200 watts, which means its current can reach 8.33 amps. I am a senior electronic engineer and I modified it to 1.5 volts to 20 volts. The adjustable power supply can be used in various experiments to adjust the voltage to the desired voltage. Functions well, some buzzing
Tested with two full 24v COB LED Strip and a MACL-153MH dimmer.The dimming performance was quite good. good fade on/off dimming.Driver used 0.0 watts when not on. Worked fine with 100w of LEDs.I did notice some buzzing from the driver, it wasn't terrible, but it was noticeable. So I would put this somehwere where the sound would not be a problem.Ver másVer menos

Dimming works well
Purchased a couple of these to have a 120V AC dimming solution to 24V DC cove lighting. They work very well with Lutron Caseta dimmers.
