Been great for me
This blender feels to me like the tank blenders of old. Thick glass, heavy motor, tight seal on the top.The blender also seats well in the base for a very stable feel. The choices of blender speeds is adequate to my needs but some folks may need more speed options.The jar itself is well designed and all the parts fit together tightly. I've had no problems running all the jar parts, including the lid, through the dishwasher. I think my only complaint is that the surface of the lid is oddly soft and scratches VERY easily.Ver másVer menos

f you need a blender, buy this one. It does everything most people will ever need a blender to do. In my opinion, there is very little reason to spend much more money on a high-priced blender for normal household use.Over the years, I’ve had very good experiences with BLACK+DECKER products, and this blender has continued that tradition.The motor is powerful enough to make smooth drinks using firmer fruits like mangoes and avocados, and it handles ice easily for smoothies or an evening daiquiri. Remarkably, the blades have remained sharp after years of use.Another thing I appreciate is how quickly it disassembles for cleaning. Honestly, I rarely even need the dishwasher. A little dish soap and warm water usually does the job perfectly.One suggestion: after cleaning, reassemble the parts immediately. I somehow misplaced one critical piece after washing my previous blender. Ironically, that older blender had worked flawlessly for years — I replaced it only because I lost that part.I also like the lid design. It allows either a wide pour or a narrow controlled pour depending on the thickness of the drink.It has more settings than I will probably ever use. Most of the time, I simply use the Pulse setting.Excellent value for the money.Ver másVer menos

Tremendous value, quiet blender with a glass jar. Highly recommended.
Very impressed with this blender, especially for the price. A tremendous value and it's the quietest blender I've ever used (or heard). It has 4 modes (speed settings) but for most people, it's plenty and gets the job done every time. We throw frozen fruit in for smoothies and it has plenty of power. It's very easy to clean, simply remove the bottom, pop out the blade section and clean. Very easy to dis and reassemble. I don't have any complaints or issues with this blender and even considering buying another just to have around in case this one ever fails or wears out. Time will tell how durable it is but seems well built and the glass jar is must have. Highly recommendedVer másVer menos

Used Once, Now Completely Dead
I used this blender exactly one time to blend soaked paper pulp. I was blending a relatively large batch, but I operated it in short pulses, with each blending cycle lasting less than 30 seconds before stopping. During that first use, I noticed an unusual burning or electrical smell, but the blender continued to work, so I finished the job.Afterward, I cleaned the pitcher thoroughly, dried it, wrapped the power cord in the built-in cord storage, and put the blender away.The next time I went to use it, it was completely unresponsive. It doesn’t turn on, make any noise, or show any sign of receiving power.To rule out simple issues, I tried multiple outlets, confirmed the pitcher was seated correctly, checked the cord for visible damage, and attempted to reset it by leaving it unplugged. Nothing worked.My best guess is that the motor failed after a single use. I understand this is a budget blender, but I still expected it to last longer than one session. Based on my experience, I can’t recommend it—especially if you plan to blend anything that requires more than a quick smoothie or a small batch.Ver másVer menos

Good blender on a budget
It worked great to make a smoothie, although it took a bit for everything to get blended up properly. I had to stop it a few times and stir things around. The cord could be a bit longer but I like that there's a way to wrap it underneath. I also appreciate that the blender can be taken apart to be cleaned. Overall a nice little blender.Ver másVer menos

Works beautifuuly for me
I ordered thia to replace a ninja that quit working and I am so happy with it. The jar is glass not plastic and is easier to keep clean as are the blades. If you add the ingredients as recommended and operate the chop function as instructed, you get an iccredibly smooth smothie. The Ninja never completely incorporated the flax seeds.Ver másVer menos
