Worth It!!
I honestly was very scared to try out this cup. I had previously tried using a different brands menstrual cup and it was a nightmare. I wasn’t able to get it out, and I had to go the my OBGYN to get it removed after having it in for almost 30 hours. But tbh before I realized I couldn’t get it out it was the most comfortable period of my entire life. I couldn’t feel the up at all, and it was like I wasn’t even on my period. So I was very excited to see this one had a pull tab to help you break the seal (which was the crux of the issue the first time around).Like most other people said, it is a bit of a learning curve and a lot different than other products I have used. I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s challenging to learn how to get in, but getting it out is easy. For me it was definitely the opposite, I was able to get it in within the first few tries, but pulling it out is still kind of hard. Breaking the seal is super easy, but if I don’t hold the cup a certain way I feel like I’m getting torn in half when trying to pull it out. But like I said it’s a learning curve and honestly I’m just ecstatic I can get it out myself lol.This product works great for me because I’m not super familiar with my body, which made it hard for me to figure out where to reach and how to break the seal the first time a tried a cup. The pull tab was really easy for me to reach, and only took one or two tries get it right. I would definitely recommend this to people who want to try a cup but aren’t fully confident they could get it out or are a first time cup user. When it was in I didn’t leak and I couldn’t even feel it! So comfortable! Definitely worth it and saves money in the long run!Ver másVer menos

The ONLY menstrual cup that I can use comfortably and works flawlessly!
I'm not a picky person, and I like to try all different kinds of menstrual products to find what works best for me and my lifestyle. I use tampons through the day, menstrual cups for my long 12hr shifts, and pads or menstrual cups for sleep. I have gravitated towards menstrual cups because of the environmental impact of pad/tampon waste. The other benefits are also that you don't have to spend money every month when you get your periods (just reuse these for every period, no need to buy more. And I have a little sterilizer at home to keep it nice and clean). They also have a MUCH longer wear time, so it is great for sleeping comfortably or, as I mentioned, my long 12 hour shifts with barely any time for breaks.The first time I tried a menstrual cup, it was a different brand and it was absolutely horrendous!! Definitely a learning curve, but also since it suctions onto your cervix, It was painful/miserable to remove! I almost thought I was going to have to get it removed at my OBGYN lol. But I didn't give up, and I bought the Flex cup. What is so great about it is that it has a suction release tab on it, so I have NEVER had any issue taking this out. It is easy to insert and remove, has a little loop to grab onto making it even easier to pull out, fits perfectly and feels like I am wearing nothing.I DID have some leaks which was a huge disappointment BUT that was before I got a bigger size (when I bought this, I had never had any kids and was in my mid 20s so I thought the smaller one would suit me). I swallowed my pride and got a bigger one, it's still easy to place, and it has never leaked for me. Lasts me the full 12 hours without any mess and feels like I'm wearing nothing at all. Yes, you may get some blood on your fingers with insertion and removal, but not in your underwear and that is a miniscule price to pay for the countless benefits of a menstrual cup.Overall, I highly recommend this menstrual cup and if you DO have leaks or if you hear of anyone that has had issues with these leaking, it likely isn't the product but the person. Pros & Cons: Please Read Review
I tried multiple period products and this is my favorite.Below is my personal review of the things I have tried:Mensural spongePros: Eco-friendly, works great, can leave in during sex (and you seriously can't feel it at all, my husband agreed) Just as (if not more absorbent) than a tampon . Cheap because they can be reused multiple times.Cons: Hurts to insert/remove (my biggest complaint) especially by the end of the cycle. Is meant to soak up fluids which makes it hard to be wet during sex.TamponsPros: More discrete than a pad. Soaks things up well.Cons: Toxic shock syndrome. Bad for the environment. Have to change much more often than other alternatives.PadsPros: Good for someone who is having their first period ever. Do not have to internally insert. It is pretty much the only thing you can use after pregnancy to clean up the blood. It prevents chaffing against your incision if you had a C-section (put the sticky part in the front of your underwear so the pad rests on your cut.) Note: I have not had any kids yet these are just things I have read.Cons: Chafing, bad for the environment, feels like you are wearing a diaper.Flex DiskPros: you can leave it in for hours upon hours. You don't feel it when it is in you. You can leave it in during sex (neither my husband nor I could feel it except he said he could a little if he caught on it when first going in before I was wet. That said he never wanted me to take it out when I asked. But, make sure you put a clean one in or go without one before sex because the blood collects in it and you will break the seal if you have sex which means all that blood will go pouring out and will make a mess.)Cons: TMI but.....Leaks blood when you go to the bathroom since those muscles are working which means it also leaks blood if you fart. (Imagine leaving it in for multiple hours on a heavy day and then farting)Flex CupPros: You don't feel it when it is in you and you can leave it in pretty much the whole day. Good for the environment. Cheap because you can reuse it so many times.Cons: Sometimes will catch when you pull it out which hurts.Personally: I use the flex cup on heavy days and then either the flex cup or flex disk on light days (depends on if I am getting sore from removing the flex cup.) Ideally, I would use a flex cup on heavy days and a mensural sponge on lighter days but I dread removing them because both products start to hurt when you remove them after a few times (NOTE: there is no pain when they are actually inside me during my entire cycle it is only when removing and sometimes when inserting.)

I was skeptical, but overall I like it.
I was curious, but very hesitant to buy a cup. After lots of research and not being able to consistently find my preferred cardboard tampons, I caved and bought the Flex cup. I liked the way the pull ring seemed to remove the suction problem I’d heard horror stories about. Eek!I’m not on my third cycle using the Flex and for the most part, I like it. It takes some getting used to putting it in. It’s much, much different than a tampon. I have had to experiment a bit and found that going back more than up is the trick. Also, the way you collapse/pinch it and how long you can keep it pinched makes a huge difference in placement. I have found that if I can align removal with my shower, that keeps everything easier and less messy. It sometimes slips the tiniest bit, but nothing too crazy. I can tell though. But if I get a good angle, it stays put for a solid 8 hours.I have had two large babies and have mostly heavy days. So far the Flex has handled my flow really well. Way better than the super tampons I would go through every 1-2 hours. No major leaks like what happens with tampons—I have felt the beginnings of leaking but the flex seems to give you more of a window to get that taken care of than tampons do.I like that this is more sustainable and affordable than a disposable option. It has cut my use of tampons way way down. I’m WFH right now which has made the transition easier; not sure how it would work if I had to change this at work/in public. That would be a major pain/mess. But if you time it right, you could definitely go a full work day without h I got to worry.I haven’t noticed the lack of cramps as some reviewers mentioned. Overall using a cup is much easier than I imagined, works well, is comfortable and feels healthier for my body and the environment. Would definitely buy another one.Ver másVer menos

good for beginners!!!
to preface, this is the first and only cup i’ve used so i have no idea how it compares to others. but i really love it! i got the small version because i have never given birth and my flows are pretty average. my thoughts:1. (pro) it can hold overnight. it’s best to wear a liner/pad in the beginning of your cycle if you are just starting out, but if you have used a cup for a while, you are likely able to tell when to change based on experience.2. (pro) it really is mess free! the tab completely breaks the seal and can be pulled from there. it can hurt at the beginning if you only pull from the tab, but after a few times it becomes routine and you do not notice.3. (pro) you do not feel or smell anything at all! kind of self explanatory.4. con) i was caught off guard by the fact that it shifts. i’m not sure if this is just a me thing, but the cup will suddenly shift inside when i sit, stretch, or any other random movement. nobody told me about this so it caught me very off guard, but this only happens once after inserting and it is also something you get used to.5. (neutral) you are not really able to measure your flow as easily as you would with a traditional pad or tampon. when you take a potty break, you are physically able to see if a pad or tampon is full, but with the cup you have to pull it out and see. it’s not a big deal at all for me, but if you are tracking through an app or such you will have to adjust to a new way of measuring.6. (neutral) you must boil it periodically. this one’s for my lazy, dorming, or roomating-having menstruators. it is not something you should be ashamed of (or avoid doing)! it is a little inconvenient in these situations though.7. (neutral) the storage bag is so cute. i label this as neutral because don’t take it anywhere with me, the cup lasts all day so i don’t have a particular reason to, but it’s one of those things you just love to see. like getting a pretty bottle of shampoo — nobody sees it besides you, but you feel nice getting it!!overall i do recommend this cup solely for its mess-free design. like everyone says, there is definitely a learning curve but this cup is great as a first. i don’t know how keen i would be about a cup if not for the pull tab. it is a little of a hefty price considering how cheap cups CAN be, but it is definitely worth the price & pays for itself over time considering it is a one time purchase and lasts for years. better for the environment as well. i love it!

I'm honestly shocked
Update: Unfortunately, while I was initially enamored with this product and convinced my life had changed for the better, I had two mishaps with one catastrophic enough that I've decided menstrual cups just aren't for me. I had an especially heavy flow and was feeling anemic, the first leak I had gotten up from sleeping for a long period and when I threw my legs over the edge of the bed to stand up my blood got squeezed out of the cup, but this incident wasn't super bad. However it happened again two days later on an even much heavier day where I slept even longer like I was in a coma, and where I had so much blood built up I could feel it was overflowing/beyond the cup, and when I realized this I was like oh crap I need to hurry to the bathroom and when I swung my legs over to the edge of the bed the result was catastrophic, blood everywhere. I was even wearing a super heavy flow/night time Always pad and somehow it just shot out my butt and completely avoided the pad. I was super upset and decided never again, though I will keep this product in storage if I ever do happen to need it (I run out of tampons or something.) If you don't have a uterus that bleeds like it's trying to fuel a sacrificial altar then you will likely be fine, mine just doesn't want me to have nice things.I'm honestly shocked at how well this has worked for me! I have a tilted uterus which lead me to believe discs likely wouldn't work for me. I still need to try the two included in this kit to see if they will, but for this last cycle because life was being chaotic I decided to just go ahead and use what I knew for sure would work which was the cup. I have a light day, a medium day, and then a noah's ark kind of day, and I was really worried about how this would hold up to the flood. I was really scared that I would have a backup and then get an infection like how you can get a UTI from not going to the bathroom enough, but shockingly even when we went out, did some shopping, saw a movie, and got back home, with regular pads and tampons I would have bled through an ultra tampon and filled up my pad after all of that but the cup still had a good either inch or 3/4's of an inch at the top, it wasn't full! I was also terrified of sleeping with it, I thought for sure I was going to bleed through or just have a massive backup and end up not like the blueberry girl, but the raspberry girl instead, but I checked it first thing in the morning and same thing happened, had at least 3/4 of an inch of space at the top of it! I have also had some leaking with it, either from me moving around or from where the pull tab threads through the middle of the cup (or both?), not as much as I have had with bleeding through conventional tampons, but I am a bit bummed that I will still have to buy and wear pads or at the very least panty liners (maybe I will invest in reusable period panties...?) It's still an insane improvement, I'm sure you can gather from my review that I go through insane amounts of menstrual products, I'm sooo looking forward to the money savings from using this product!
