Excellent product - works beautifully!
I am a computer scientist and I use this product to take attendance for my classes. Students scan the barcode on the back of their ID when they come into class. Previously, I used a rather large trigger based scanner in a stand that connected via USB to my laptop. Quite inconvenient to carry around campus. I tried a few other small pocket size scanners and they had trouble reading the id card barcode - very finicky - distance and angle all mattered. Students couldn't get the scan to work 30% of the time with the other scanners. I switched to the NADAMOO scanner, set it for continuous scanning, paired it with my laptop in seconds, laid it on the table in the classroom and students pop their id card down in front of the scanner and it reads them every time! Works beautifully and very fast. I use a Python attendance application I wrote that takes the id in a text box on the screen, welcomes the student to class and records their presence on that class date. I also tried the scanner in storage mode, so it just stores all of the ids from the scanning without the application running. After class I slip the scanner into my pocket and when back in my office, run the Python application - put the cursor in the text box and scan the upload barcode on the included card and it zips through the records and the application records the attendance. Pretty cool! I've used it in both bluetooth and 2.4 Ghz mode with the USB dongle. Both work beautifully. The Python application takes care of extra characters from the scan but I had to write it that way based on the previous scanner. With the NADAMOO, I can just eliminate them with a simple scan of a barcode from the easy to read manual. Great product. I've used it on a dozen classes and not had to recharge it yet.
