Asurion Protection Policy paid me back my original purchase price.
I bought a high end stereo receiver from Amazon, two and a half years ago and purchased the Asurion 3 year Protection for it at the same time. Unfortunately, the receiver died. I contacted Asurion and they sent me a box to return it within five days. They said it was their option to repair it or replace it. A few days after they received it they notified me my receiver could not be repaired and so credited my Amazon the original purchase price. I am glad I bought the protection policy!Ver másVer menos

Asurion protection plans are a joke. They refuse to entertain any type of claim while your items are still under manufacturer warranty. Default statement "This product is still under manufacture warranty. You will need to contact the manufacturer of your item." Don't waste your money. Protection plan expired same time as my manufacturer warranty.Ver másVer menos

Can purchase this policy even though you purchase the item somewhere else.
I have other two products covered by this company and it was about $50 cheaper than getting the geek squad protection from you know who. I'm sure I will not have a problem if I need this in the future. Just go to their website and you'll be able to see your items you've purchased in the past and added policies to make sure that your email it doesn't go into the spam people always leave review saying I didn't get a receipt or anything I haven't had that problem. On a past item I was able to collect on a portable dryer that I had a problem with just before they're 3 years ran out and they cut me a check because they couldn't send any service tech to evaluate a problem because COVID it just started. The company should list in their ad that they will cover products if you purchased it somewhere else they would be able to get more business but you have to go look at the policy on their website to find this out or they answer the question to another customer but didn't answer to mine. We've used Asurion for many of our electronics and the service has been nothing but great! Usually only takes a couple of minutes to file a claim, and within a day or two a replacement is at our door. Protection plan really does work.
I purchased this plan as I had to replace a camera that was covered by a previous protection plan. I can't say enough about Asurion. They were prompt and my old camera was covered 100% allowing me to purchase another camera paying only the difference in price. I now buy the Asurion protection plan on all higher priced electronics.
