Good, cheap, cost-effective.
I was a little leery of purchasing a computer this old. B ut once I fired it up, it ran seamlessly and I forgot I was using a 10+ year old device. Some of the firmware and updates can be a little tricky... but nothing that a little patience and research to find compatible software won't fix. FY$I the highest operating system you can run is Mac high Sierra 10.3 I don't know if that meets your needs. Also the disk drive is a useful feature, for watching dvds etc. This thing is a dinosaur but worth every penny. You probably won't find a cheaper Mac that still runs out there hope this helpsVer másVer menos

No Birthday present
Bought for my daughter's birthday it worked for 10 minutes and quit never would boot back up again the test I did said that the hard drive was corrupt I've asked for a replacement they said yes but it's never shipped it's been at least a month now

My 1st Mac
First let me start by saying to all the loyal Mac users, don't bash me to hard🫣 I wanted a Mac that had all the connections etc; usb, ethernet port, hdmi, cd/dvd optical drive, headphone port. You see, I love music, and I heard the sound quality of a Mac is best for music. No, I'm not a producer, I just love my own music collection. The only apple device I own is an iPod touch 7th generation.My brother is a Mac fanatic. After telling him what I wanted, he told me these were out dated, and impossible to find, if I did find one the price would be crazy! I took that as a challenge and the search began. Prices were really crazy without all the amenities I was looking for.Indeed it took a while, but I landed here. Everything I was looking for and the price was crazy great! (for my pocket). Yes, I read it was reconditioned, and the possibility of pings and dings. The return policy was great, so I took a chance.Delivery was fast, well packaged, to my surprise, the condition looked MINT!Setup was easy, I can transfer my iPod library, battery life not bad at all (depending on usage) without the charging cable.The only drawback is there are no more current updates for this unit. But for my use, it's a winner.So if you're looking for the current Mac device, with the current updates and all the connections I mentioned in my opening description, then yes, as my brother stated, it's impossible to find. Works great!
Works and runs great like it was when new. Bought two at a great price and the students I gave to love them will buy more if I can get them at at a deal.

Always skeptical of anything that seems like it's too good to be true, but was pleasantly surprised by the fast delivery and clean quality product that even included an upgrade. Had some problems setting it up, but called the support number provided in the box and a man named Kelvin answered on the second ring! Kelvin was extremely patient and kind, speaking to me in language that a 68 year old man with limited tech savvy. Within 20 minutes he had me up and running and even instructed me how to do a few things that will benefit me in the future. I was especially grateful for Kelvin's simple breakdowns of processes and troubleshooting. It's easy to become intimidated by techies who bowl you over with assumptions that you speak the lingo. Kelvin dispels that assumption. He was great. I spent a career in custimer service and it's employees like Kelvin that we always prized.Ver másVer menos
