THESE ARE MADE OF PLASTIC. Still works though.
THESE ARE PLASTICS, with that said, i dont really mind as I can still see the water color clearly. I was expecting it as glass but for me plastic is better as I've accidentally dropped my glass test tubes in the past and shattered a few throughout the year. Plus the lids are attached to the tubes so you dont loose it. I like it as I can pop off the lid with my thumb, inject the water in the tubes (using the infants syringe that comes with the baby's medicine) and adding test drops, shake and bake. This does not leak for me.It was priced fairly, the quality is good, it is the same tubes that came with my complete test kit.Ver másVer menos

Good but fragile
While using the test tubes that came with my aquarium test kit, all of the tubes broke while trying to remove the plastic cap. No matter how easy you try to remove the cap, it will eventually break. Still, these are great little test tubes.

Picture states these are 6 Glass tubes with caps. But they are really plastic.
The picture shows 6 glass tubes with caps... however, they are plastic. Not a big deal, I just thought I was getting glass tubes just like the original ones that came with the test kit.

The tubes seem ok, but…
They didn’t come in the pictured box, and I would venture a guess that they aren’t actually made by API. They’re glass, the logo is different, and the top is removable, and therefore easy to lose. Caveat emptor.

Not As Pictured
I originally ordered 2 of the Test Tube boxes, expecting 12 glass ones total, as the listing shows. Nowhere on the listing do I see anything stating plastic.I have ordered from this listing in the past (a few months ago) and received the glass test tubes, even as people complained of only receiving the plastic ones. So it’s not like they never sent the glass ones ever.Once I received my package and saw they were both plastic, I requested a refund from Amazon and now have to return these ones. I requested they send me new ones, specifically mentioning my issue was the plastic, not glass as advertised and awaited my replacement package.When that one was received, it was the same exact thing. The test tubes aren’t even coming in the API box that’s shown, just a white plastic baggie package. Now I have to return both items.If you are okay with the plastic ones, go ahead and order, but if you are indeed looking for the glass ones that are being advertised in this listing, probably don’t. It doesn’t seem that they send them anymore. Which sucks.I prefer my glass test tubes over the plastic ones, they stay cleaner, the cap snaps on, and they just feel more professional. The plastic ones lids always feel like they’re loose and weak, so when you are shaking them, liquid starts spilling everywhere. That’s why I wanted to get the glass ones specifically. I have had no problems with the glass ones I received, but despise the plastic ones.I’d urge the seller if they see this to either A.) Take down, or correct this listing to show properly that you are not receiving the product that you are being advertised and paying for. B.) Continue making the glass test tubes.
