High quality, great clumping and odor control. Flushable!

This is my favorite cat litter, and of those we’ve tried, seems to be my cat’s favorite too. It clumps really well! It’s also fragrance free. I used to work at a feline hospital and from that experience and my own personal one, I always feel comfortable recommending this litter.World’s best has a bunch of varieties so you can purchase scented ones. I tried one recently and wasn’t happy. So I will stick with what I know works. They also have a variety of sizes.Because of the great clumping, it’s very easy to scoop and makes cleaning the whole box much easier. It is flushable, which is good, and while no litter seems 99% dust free, this is as close as I’ve ever seen. It’s a good quality product and I recommend to anyone who asks.My kitty is a notorious litter kicker no matter what we use. With this, it’s not as bad because of the clumping power. The odor control is really good. I definitely get my money’s worth.Overall, this particular variety of this brand of litter has been working out well for us for years and I don’t plan on changing that!Ver más

Could you really fall in love with cat litter??

I have two smelly kittens. I feed dry and wet food and their litter boxes really stink. I clean all three litter boxes daily but the smell was permeating my house. Gross. So I came to Amazon and read the reviews that said this truly is the world’s best cat litter. Really? How could you make that claim and even name the product the world’s best? Well dang if they weren’t right!!This IS the world’s BEST cat litter. Very little dust, covers poop smell pretty quickly but where this litter shines is the way it handles urine. Previously when I would clean the litter boxes the pee would be a stuck lump on the bottom of the box. And the smell!!! So I bought metal litter boxes. No more sticking but the clumps wouldn’t stay clumped. Unless I raked gently as an archaeologist uncovering hidden treasure the clumps would break apart and leave smelly nasty pieces in the stinky litter box. Yuk. Then I switched to the world’s best litter and the clumps stay clumps. The litter completely clumps the urine and keeps the smell isolated. Truly! The little tootsie rolls are dry and odorless, the urine clumps are firm and are removed easily. The litter smells great!! Its appearance is yellowish like corn but texture like regular litter. It’s lightweight and I feel like it will last as long as the clay litter does.Honestly I can say this really is the worlds best cat litter. My house no longer smells like a litter box.Ver más

The brand name does not lie!

It feels a little weird to be reviewing something my cats poop and pee in, but here we are.I switched to World's Best Cat Litter from clumping clay litter, which I have used for over 20 years, after getting tired of the heavy fragrance of scented litters, the entire lack of odor control from unscented options, and all of the dust that was present with even the "best" dust-free litters. This was one of the best choices I've ever made in my decades of cat ownership.This litter is truly unscented, yet somehow keeps odor to a minimum as long as you scoop it regularly. I let it go for 3 or 4 days while out of town, and even then the smell was minimal until I was bent over the litter boxes to clean them. If you scoop daily or at least every other day, the stink will stay away (unless you have a cat like one of mine, who refuses to bury his poop, and you can smell it across the whole house, haha). The tiny amount dust when pouring the litter is also mind-blowing coming from clay litters. That's not to say there is zero dust, but I'm not blowing it out of my nose for 20 minutes after taking care of the litter boxes like I used to, and that's good enough for me! It also clumps like a boss, honestly better than any clay litter I've used, and it scoops well. On top of all that, this litter does last so much longer than other options. Honestly, I'm paying roughly the same price per order for this 32lb bag as I was for about 50lbs of my previous litter, but I'm having to order less frequently.The one knock I will give this litter is that it does track out of the box just as badly as every other litter I've used, but with the size of the litter bits (not sure the best way to say that) makes it much easier to sweep or vacuum up than clay litters. The reason I'm not taking a star off for this though is because the tracking does seem to remain contained to about a two foot radius around the boxes--I guess it falls off my cats' feet much more efficiently...I don't know, but I'm not finding litter all around the house, so another win.Is it more pricey than other options of the same weight? Yes. But is it worth the cost? Yes!Ver más

Works well

Works well. Cats like it and it is flushable.Seems to last a while compared to others we tried.Only drawback would be that it doesn’t cover poop smell as well as urine It can also be a bit dusty when pouring by our cats don’t end up with dusty paws.

Great litter, works well with multiple cats as intended.

Been using this litter for some time and can safe safely that it works well at least for 2 cats. It helps keeps smells down and clumps together neatly to help make cleaning up easier, but you will still need to clean the boxes after a couple of days if not every day to keep any smells gone. It IS NOT dust proof however and I wouldn't say that it's 99% dust free they say either. Closer to about 80% as when you pour it out it will still make a cloud, but it's far better than other litters I have used in this regard. It's a little pricey, but as it lasts much longer than other litters I have used they come out to about the same in the end. It works well in a sifting litter box and there is no troubles cleaning it out as the size is always small enough to go through without issue and it doesn't clump to the box like a clay litter would. My biggest complaint about this litter is the visual quality that I receive each time. Looking at it, it never seems to be the same size, quality, or condition as the last or the next bag and that always makes me a little worried, but I have never had a real quality issue with the litter.Ver más

Here's my solution for a home free of litter box smell.

What do all cat owners want? We want a home that doesn't smell like a litter box, and that smell is due to cat pee. I've had a indoor cat for 10 years and have tried several products to achieve an odor free home. I have found a process that is affordable, clean and tames that notorious odor. Here's my five step solution:- FIRST, get the best litter. World's Best Cat Litter is the kind of litter that tames odor best in my experience. I've tried clay, silica and corn-based litters and found the latter is the best at odor control. The 15-pound bag of WBCL seems the most economical: one bag lasts at least a month with my 12-pound cat. I used Pretty Litter for a couple of years. Besides being nearly twice the monthly cost, this product does not control odor. By the end of the month, the box really stunk even after daily scooping and stirring. What about tracking? Unfortunately, any granular litter is going to get tracked because of its size and the shape of your cat's foot. The question is, what material do you want your cat tracking around the house? Weird silica that's full of urine, clay dust, or a plant product? I'm more comfortable with the corn-based product.- SECOND, get a stainless steel litter box. I've tried regular plastic litter boxes and I've made custom boxes from plastic totes. They all end up stinking, get riddled with stains and have to be replaced on a regular basis. That's a lot of smelly waste. What about box liners? Plastic liners never fit right and cats pull them off with their digging motions. Paper-based ones just absorb odor and contribute to the problem. I've had a stainless metal box for over two years; it cleans up amazingly well and doesn't retain odors. You will recoup the upfront cost of the metal box within the first 2-3 years, and the odor control is well worth it. What about anti-tracking mats? I use one and it controls some tracking, but not 100%. Keep in mind that anything you use in the litter box space will need to be cleaned regularly.- THIRD, keep things clean. Litter boxes and their immediate areas need regular attention. Scoop at least every other day, and clean the litter area as often as you would clean your own bathroom. If you want materials that you can let sit for days or weeks and still smell okay, forget it. No such products exist. Even the robot litter boxes have to be cleaned regularly. Hoods? It depends on the cat. My cat tolerated a hood on the box, but I could tell he didn't love it. When I removed the hood, I found that there wasn't that much litter on the floor without it. My cat doesn't kick up a lot of mess, so I don't use one.- FOURTH, don't hide the box away in a low-traffic area. I used to put the litter box away in a basement laundry room. Why? I didn't want the smell in my living areas. I was hoping expensive silica litter would solve the problem, but it didn't. Regular scooping didn't not solve the pee smell. The fact that the litter box was hidden away led me to neglect it, which made things worse. Now, I keep the litter box in my main bathroom. It's an easy space to clean and since I'm in there on a daily basis I can monitor the box, scoop when needed and immediately wash my hands.Finally, how do you handle the waste? To flush or not to flush? NEVER flush litter. You don't want to introduce a foreign litter substance, plus all the weird bacteria in cat waste, into your plumbing system. Don't believe the labels and risk an expensive plumbing bill. I put used litter and waste into a plastic bag in a receptacle which gets twisted closed tightly with a plastic clip to trap odor. That plastic bag goes into the trash every week.Regular maintenance, right location and dependable materials have led to an odor-free home!
