Sturdy Stand, not quite as narrow as indicated.
The stand is nice and heavy with silicone on the whole bottom so if feels nice and secure supporting your devices.I ordered this stand specifically because the listing indicates the minimum width of each slot at 12mm, which is smaller than any similar listing I found on Amazon. I have an Asus Zenbook UX305 which is only 12.3mm thick at the fastest part and I wanted to be sure I would bet a secure fit without a lot of wiggle room. However in actually the minimum width it can be at to appears more like 13mm which has left a little room. I have decided it's not enough difference to be a huge problem and my laptop is still secure enough but I did at first consider adding some kind of shim to narrow it further. If you are particular about getting the width's set exactly right you should consider that the mechanism for adjusting this stand is different than some with a side nob. The adjusters are only accessible from the bottom. They are bolts you loosen allowing the pieces to slide freely. It is difficult to keep the pieces from shifting somewhat when lifting the stand to tighten it in place, making fine adjustment a little tricky. If you're not a huge perfectionist about a milometer or two one way or thwr other though, it's a sturdy and secure design. The two sides are independently adjustable and the stand shops with a small hex key for making these adjustments and one extra screw just in case something happens (although I can't imagine what). If you have a laptop on the fatter side the silicone pads on the bottom of the slots may notcometely protect your laptop as they will cover less of the bottom of the slot the wider the slots are oppened.
