Very Nice Journal
I do the whole bullet journal thing and I like to draw in addition to the layouts, trackers and grids. So I can be pretty hard on my journal. This past year I've used a Leuchtturm 1917, which plenty of people swear by. I enjoyed using it very much and though there was a lot of ghosting, I never had any serious bleed through. The biggest positive for it compared to others is the many color choices. For my 2019 journal I wanted to get something comparable, maybe even better. But there are so many options I decided to test out just two and pick whichever worked best. I decided on this, the Scribbles That Matter-pro version (more expensive) and the Minimalism Art Premium (less expensive). They both have numbered pages, contents pages, two bookmarks and a pocket in the back. I sat down with both and did a pen/marker test. Honestly both of them impressed me very much. The Scribbles That Matter journal held up well to my pen test in terms of ghosting. It's a slightly thicker paper with a lovely cream color. It ghosts less than the Leuchtturm 1917, however it will start to bleed (barely) if you go over a maker line a couple times (I used crayola supertips and a zebra mildliner). I am going to assume it will do at least as good as my Leuchtturm (which did bleed a bit but only with many passes of a brush marker). The feel of the cover is pleasant, a little more "velvety" feeling than the other two journals. I just wish there were more color choices! If you want a super thick paper with minimal bleeding, and you don't mind ghosting, the Minimalism Art Premium journal is a good choice. If you aren't heavy handed with your markers (lots of drawing) and you're looking for something with less ghosting than the Leuchtturm 1917, get Scribbles That Matter. Overall, I like both journals, but because ghosting bothers me and it will hold up to my drawing at least as good as my Leuchtturm 1917, I'll be choosing the Scribbles That Matter pro for my 2019 bullet journal. I will find another use for the Minimalism Art journal, however, as it's a great journal for the price.Ver másVer menos
