Feels Good, Man!
Extremely high quality, very well done Pepe! As a fellow reviewer mentioned, this one harks back to the origins of Pepe, the original iteration. This is from the "feels good, man" days. The construction, stitching and materials are all very good quality. I can't say anything bad about it. I definitely recommend this Pepe to anyone! I've had a hard time finding one and then finding one that is actually made nicely. This is it!Limbs are plush, there's no wire inside for posing or whatever like the Gondolas on the market. They dangle & are skinny frog legs but those are correct for his proportions...they seem reasonably sturdy & solidly constructed, well stitched. As long as you don't go crazy yanking on the limbs nothing will happen to them. You can move them freely and it'll be fine. Doesn't have to sit on the shelf like a porcelain Pepe.His pants & shirt are stitched on so that they cannot be removed...however, the leg-holes for the shorts are open you can put your fingers there. And yes, he is anatomically correct. I was worried it would make the whole thing stupid but honestly they did a very tasteful job. It is not some stupid cartoonish monstrous thing, and it cannot be seen or accessed. It's just there to make him male, not a Ken-doll Pepe. Because of the way they did it, I don't mind that addition & I don't think it detracts from the figure. Honestly everyone who looked at it didn't even realize until I mentioned it.Overall, this is another great quality item from Uncute and it's licensed by Matt Furie himself, to boot. Hilarious!!!
My daughter and I have a long standing joke with Pepe. This is incredible! The size is decent and seems like it is durable. However, he does just sit on my desk as work. He is soft, and we all know Pepe is cute. Let me tell you though - he is ANATOMICALLY correct. I didn't even realize that in the description so much to my surprise - it IS there! Ha ha haaaa! 13 Years on Amazon, First Review: That Is The Power of Meme Magic
Although I regularly purchase items off of Amazon, I never developed any need to review items. However, since Pepe has given me great joy over the years, I will do so this one time and contribute to the site and the artist who created him, Matt Furie.This particular Pepe is in the original style that has become somewhat overlooked over the years since his debut in 00s. My personal favorite is the happy, "Feels Good Man" phase which is how I was introduced to Pepe about four or five years ago on 4chan's /fit/ forum, especially when trolling other users about their height (e.g. "manlets"). If you seen that Pepe or any of the other more recent iterations, you know they all look somewhat different but are all essentially the same character. It's sort of like my one philosophy class discussing the concept of a chair many years ago, there are limitless examples of chairs but only one idea of chair. That is Pepe's fate now that he is part of the public domain in the internet age.I am in agreement with the other reviewer as I am also very pleased with the quality of this Pepe: he is very sturdy, can sit up by himself and has solid eyes. One thing I should say is that there may be some concern about the limbs if you were to tug on them very hard but if you are in a situation where no one would be fighting over him to really pull at his arms or legs (or trying to pull him out of the mouth a dog's mouth who is trying to use Pepe as a chew toy), it should be no problem.Thank you for the smiles, Matt!Ver másVer menos
