Reliable Backup Power and Easy Setup
I’m very happy with this APC Back-UPS. It arrived brand new, well packaged, and was very easy to set up. Connecting the battery only took a minute, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. It feels sturdy and well made, and it gives me peace of mind knowing my computer and other electronics are protected from power outages and surges. It's compact, quiet, and doesn't take up much space. Overall, this is a great value and exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend it.Ver másVer menos

Small but mighty. Good battery time for size. And it's APC.
I needed a simple UPS. Just for power glitches. So my desktop computer wouldn't shut down unexpectedly , and it works great. It does not have the auto shutdown features that some more expensive units have.But I don't need that.

Great for temporary power. Get the right size for what you need. It will save you money in the end.
Purchased over a year ago. Had several brown outs, low phases and power outages. This unit has kept my camera system going without interruption. I purchased another unit to put the monitor on so that even with the power out I could see what was going on outside. Be sure and match the battery back up with the amount of power that you will need and for how long you will need that power. I am fortunate to have a backup generator that kicks on after about 15 seconds. Think about what you need before you order it it will save you time and money.Ver másVer menos

Good value for the money.
I see a lot of reviews near the top that say DO NOT BUY,.. and this is a piece of junk etc.I whole heartedly disagree. When I buy something to run electronics off of battery power (thus a benefit of conditioned voltage) I take into consideration how much it cost for what I would normally pay.Same goes for this. For $40 (or less sometimes) you get a battery backup that even if it dies in 2 years is well worth the money.. Period. I have deployed backups on systems and server rooms in the thousands -- I know the high end back up solutions for high end critical applications and .. well this.. the low end, cheaper .. generally home use.I have a couple of these running for the last few years without issue.- It has a few features besides working. It allows you to mute it permanently .. so no more annoying, wake you up in the middle of the night beeping because the battery is finally dying or power went out etc. (This is a flaw of some backup systems for home use (not mission critical).)This backup is rated (imo) to work with low wattage (amp x volts = w) devices. IE: Perfect for keeping your internet going in power brown outs, outages, flicks, etc. Items like your modem, router, maybe you have fiber (so your ONT (optical network terminal) ).It's great for low wattage items like computer monitors, consoles, maybe a phone or tablet, even a laptop can do well given the redundant battery systems involved.This is NOT great for desktop systems.. especially gaming/high end systems running at many hundreds of watt per/second. Anything that has minutes , by itself, to allow you to shutdown needs a bigger backup (You can use this.. but just know it's not ideal for the job and complaints resulting are based in unrealistic expectations ).So, buy the thing. It's cheap. Put it on some devices like I mentioned and they'll stay up for an hour or multiple hours without power and you never have to worry about a power surge, outage etc damaging your device -- plus the net stays up regardless of power (remember all your internet mobile devices are going to have power in these situations).I'll leave it there. Just a recommendation to buy, if you don't like it send it back (it's amazon).Ver másVer menos

Quality unit for reasonable cost & light duty
Sufficient battery back-up for just about all electronics. Ports for USB and Surge Protector. This works well for shirt periods of electrical outages but most importantly, it prevents power surges to delicate electronic equipment, i.e. my computer and smart TVs.Ver másVer menos

Has lasted longer than others I have owned
I have owned many of these UPSs and most die after a year. Usually replacing the battery is worthless, as the circuit-board usually goes bad. So far, so good with this one.

Small Wonder
five star I guess I only have limited experience with it.I have power fluctuations at times and it's not acceptable to lose a ton of work.I have 2 other USPs for my tower and peripherals, but my modem is downstairs.So the modem needs it's separate USP and this works great.I don't think you'll get cheaper for small needs while keeping reliability.Ver másVer menos

Poor Design Overall - and Almost Impossible to Replace Batteries - APC is Pooping On Their Customers
I now HATE APC. The main issues:- No way to shut off beeping if power goes out- Can't replace batteriesI have 3 of these in my shop, powering things like CNCs, 3D printers, and a computer. When power goes out, they all start beeping obnoxiously. There's NO way to stop it. Even if I'm not using a machine and turn this unit off, it STILL beeps once a minute or so with no power! Imagine being in a workshop when a thunderstorm comes up and you're already trying to figure out what has to be saved, if a 20 hour 3D print can finish in a few minutes, and if the CNC project is close to finishing or if I have to just shut it off and power goes out and there's that incessant beeping so you can't think and focus on saving work on the computer and orderly shutting things down.The obnoxious beeping means the extra time these should give me to save work or shut down in an orderly way is almost lost because it's so hard to think and focus with 3 of these crying like little babies.And then there's battery replacement. The screws are Phillips head and in DEEP recesses. I tried a smaller screwdriver, but the screws are too deep for it to reach. Tried a bit of a bigger one. Guess what? The recesses are tapered so you can't reach them with a bigger screwdriver! (Seriously, these recesses are at least 3-4" deep!) It's trick to make sure you can't easily take it apart to put in a new battery. This is a serious way to crap on their customers.I have one that needs a new battery. APC, when you do nasty things like that to me, as a customer, you can be sure that since I can't replace the battery, I will be buying a new one FROM SOMEONE ELSE.I've disliked APC for years, but now I hate them. Muy bueno
Muy bueno, resistió 2 hrs, sin corriente eléctrica, aunque no tengo muchas cosas conectadas, solo un WiFi y un teléfono de baterías, pero es bueno para cuando baja la corriente, me quede sorprendido.

Good product. Decent price. Recommend
Good price and easy to set up. I remember the days when you still needed to open the bottom cover to connect the battery in order for the APC UPS to work. It now has an external connector that you simply plug in to connect the battery, which is very convenient. It hosts our wifi access point and backup NAS perfectly. We tested the battery by disconnecting the power source, and it can host our 2-bay backup NAS for about 30 minutes with the AP running at the same time. Very satisfied with the results. I would recommend this product to any small business or home users to protect their electrical devices.Ver másVer menos

Reliable and a necessity
Have two of these and one higher capacity model. All have been great. If you don't have one (or more) consider all the potential uses, weighed against the climate and utility conditions you live in. I have one for the internet modem/router, because this newer prettier modem doesn't have its own battery. Second one for the cordless phone base, garage door monitor. These three items could all be one one box, but they're just too far apart. The larger one runs gigabit switches, USB switches, cordless phone charger, two laptops (though they both have pretty new batteries in them anyway, but for the surge protection). I don't plug PC monitors in because (and I don't know for sure) they use more power and you can generally live without them in a crisis. Choose which devices you think need the UPS, and those that just need surge protection. You 'can' plug devices into a $5 surge protection wall wart, but I trust a box like this, from a reputable company, to do a better job --- for all I know the wall wart would catch fire if a blip came through. Classic example for me was a cable box (years ago) that had been blitzed because a jolt had come through and arced inside the box. Of course, you can plug anything you want into it once a power failure occurs, so there's where you can charge your cell phone, etc. I've blabbered too long about something that is so essential in our ridiculously electronic lives, just buy one and try it out.Ver másVer menos
