Best Melatonin I have tried
This formula melatonin tastes good and actually works. One tiny 1mg tablet works better than any formula I have tried. Too much melatonin has the odd effect of causing you to wake during the night, and interferes in falling asleep. This is just the right dose for this 65+ year old woman. I take one when I get into bed and within 20 min I am drowsy enough to turn the lights out and close my eyes. I sleep soundly until my alarm rings in the morning. 365 is a years supply, so this is extremely affordable. For those that an added dose is necessary, the 1 mg size tabs make it easy to add a bit more without having to deal with cutting pills etc. Try this brand, you won't regret it.Ver másVer menos

Works well but I'm still waking up during the night - see update
I bought Natrol 1mg Fast Dissolve Melatonin because I didn't like how groggy I would be the next day when taking an OTC sleep aid with the active ingredient of 25 mg Doxylamine succinate. Even taking 1/2 of that pill would leave me tired the next day. I had read that for some people as little as .3mg of Melatonin (less than half of one of these 1mg pills) works, so I first tried just taking 1/2 a pill. These pills are not scored (see photo). My first attempt at cutting one with a knife wasn't successful (part of the pill turned to powder) so, since I don't own a pill cutter, I tried just snapping one in half with my fingers and that worked pretty well. For me, half a pill did not work so I moved it up to a whole pill the next night. In the end I found that two pills (2 mg) makes me tired enough that I can easily fall asleep within about 45 minutes and I am not groggy the next day at all! However, I am still waking up in the middle of the night. I looked up all the Natrol versions and discovered they have a time release formula so my next step will be to try that. I plan on buying the 1mg dose so I can start as low as possible and will try pairing with the fast dissolve pills as well since I still have this bottle and you never know... With some time and experimentation I hope to find the right dosage for me.10/14/17 Update : The Natrol 1 mg time release version didn't work for me at all. I tried everything from 1mg to 5 mg and they didn't help me fall asleep or stay asleep. At 5 mg I was actually feeling groggy/off the next day so called it at that point. Then i found out that a lot of us are magnesium deficient, and that magnesium can help you fall asleep, so I started taking 250 mg magnesium oxide with the melatonin and I slept reallly well even on the first night. Good stuff that works
Tiny little chewable that tastes good! My very particular child, who on the spectrum, approves of these and they work as expected.

A family favorite
I am a great sleeper, but I have trouble falling asleep if my husband is out of town, which is frequently, or if I am excited about something happening the next day. I also love to dream, and rarely dream, although I do suffer from sleep events similar to night terrors when I sleep alone. We also have three boys who are 9, 10, and 12 that share a room. They have good sleep habits and stay asleep, but sometimes they are wound up or two excited about tomorrow and have trouble falling asleep. My husband takes 5 mg ones when traveling, but takes 2 of these when he's home to help him wind down. This melatonin is perfect for us! The kids take 1-2 when warranted, and I take 2-3 most nights because they make me dream, and seem to help keep the scary sleep events at bay. Melatonin does give some people nightmares. It's not a brand thing, but a melatonin thing, or sometimes a dosage thing. Also, if you take too much melatonin it can cause you to feel a bit foggy the morning, and can also cause you to wake frequently during the night. For that reason, these 1 mg tablets are great for experimenting with to find the proper dosage for you! These ones are a fantastic value! Some brands are big and chalky(Natrol) while others are sour & overpriced(Zarabees). These are little, sweet, and economical.Ver másVer menos

Effective and affordable
Works better than expected. You only need 1mg. Until now I was taking 2-5mg thinking I needed it but this gets the job done. Great price too.
