Impressed with quality
We were encouraged to get a keyboard for our little one who has a musical ear. The first one we bought when she was 2 was $20 and annoying.... This one is a MAJOR upgrade! I think husband and I enjoy it more than our little one. The app that partners with it is neat. We have only had time to do one lesson (major life events) but really easy to set up and listens to the keyboard and is able to tell which note you are playing.....95% of the time. Which is great for a 4 year old! I like the stickers that come with it so that you can familiarize yourself with notes and keys. Lots of fun! Great Keyboard! Highly Recommend!Ver másVer menos

Teenager was thankful for this keyboard!
I purchased this keyboard for my teenager who requested one for her birthday. We found the learning part works well on the iPad, the kindle she says is just too small. I love that she can put on headphones and no one else has to listen to her practicing, though with the neighbor boy playing drums at night I am likely to get her a speaker to aim out her window at that house and have her go at when we finishes! The new neighbor battle of the quiet evenings aside, this keyboard is solid. It just moved with us and no issues, not even with the tablet stand. I am impressed. The keys are weighted and I guess that is important from what she has told me. She says it is a great keyboard for a beginner and doesn't seem cheap at all. Her friends seem impressed with it as well.Ver másVer menos

Better choice for a beginner than a Casio SA-76
We were asked to get a Christmas gift for an 11 year old who might not otherwise get a gift. One item on her list was a piano keyboard. My husband is a talented musician and has helped several churches purchase keyboards. He doesn’t tolerate junk! We knew it would be a difficult task to find something that was not junk, but wouldn’t break the budget. At first we looked at Casio, a brand my husband is comfortable with for a beginner. We almost settled on the Casio SA-76 EDP.It comes with headphones and a power cord ( which some Casio models don’t include) and educational software. The reviews were at 4. We had 3 problems with it. It was only 44 keys, the keys were mini, making transitioning to a regular keyboard difficult and most likely the family won’t have access to a computer and cord needed to take advantage of the software. So we left our comfort zone and searched some more. This is when we came across this RockJam 54 key keyboard with a 3.9 rating. This is 54 full size keys. Two problems solved. With 54 keys there would be more range of sound and full size keys assures easy transition to a full 88 key piano! This one at least had some learning features built into the LCD screen , although it included an app to use a separate tablet as the main learning tool. This probably won’t be available either for the young lady. However since the price was nearly $30 cheaper than the Casio, we were able to order her a pair of Sony headphones to use with it. The keyboard and headphones arrived today ( on time). We opened the package and plugged in the provided power adapter. I had my husband check it out as a basic keyboard. The sound is by no means professional. But it is acceptable for learning. The keys are full size although as some other reviewers have pointed out, they are somewhat loose. There is definitely a headphone jack in the rear next to the power supply. (At least one reviewer said there was no jack!)There is also a microphone jack.We did not try to attach the music stand, but it didn’t seem the least bit flimsy. We feel confident this a gift an 11 year old girl can enjoy.Ver másVer menos

Great!
My son just turned 3 so we got him this for his birthday. He Loves it! It's only been half a day since it arrived but it's been hours of entertainment. He already knows how to change the sounds of the keyboard, control the volume, on/off, and simple patterns. My husband and I don't know how to play the piano but it came with a $30 giftcard for a piano maestro app to learn to play the piano with a tablet, and 2 free months with TakeLessons so we can learn with our son. I also ordered piano stickers for the keys. My son already knows the alphabet so it should be easier... I recommend getting both. it's definitely fun for all agesVer másVer menos

Only worked for a week ....
I bought this for my grandson who desperately wants to learn to play...it worked for about a week. Then he turned it on one day to a really annoying loud whine being the only sound it makes. We didn't keep the box because it was damaged when it arrived and we didn't think we needed it so I couldn't return. He is heartbroken and I'm out 70 bucks!Ver másVer menos

HUGE! AWESOME!!
What a fantastic deal and quality for the price!! We got three of them this Christmas and they were WELL recieved by the seasoned teen and little kids a like! The display shows where each note you play is on the scale and has HUNDREDS of different sounds and beats as well! The app is very cool as well, but pretty expensive, but I guess as expensive as lessons, but even the 5 year old picked up and started naming notes within minutes! I was shocked! The keys are large and you can play as many chords as you want without it interrupting itself like the “cheap” keyboards. This is just as nice as the brand name ones and only a fraction of the price! I would buy these again and again, in fact, I likely will as my dad looked pretty jealous! ;)Ver másVer menos
