I bought this cocoa butter to use in my homemade whipped body butter, and it has quickly become one of my favorite ingredients. I combine it with shea and mango butter, and it gives the finished body butter a rich, creamy texture that feels incredibly moisturizing, especially on areas that tend to get extra dry.The cocoa butter comes as a solid block, so I melt down what I need before mixing and whipping everything together. It does take a little more effort than using a regular lotion, but for DIY skincare, that’s exactly what I expected.I also love the natural cocoa scent. It’s noticeable without needing to add fragrance, and my skin feels soft and moisturized after using the finished body butter.The 8 oz size is plenty for multiple batches, since a little goes a long way. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE- I Love This Stuff- Makes Great Massage Bars and Lip Balm
I have been trying to find some way to make better massage bars similar to the ones that I got from LUSH which are called Wicci Magic. Although they help with muscle pain, I needed something a bit more industrial geared toward Fibromyalgia. This meant that I had to find a way to create bars out of ingredients which would be helpful but still wholesome. I chose to use this cocoa butter as one of them.WHAT IS THIS COCOA BUTTER LIKE?I have to say that this cocoa butter is like walking into a dream. The fragrance of the cocoa butter is so delicious that it makes you want to eat it. It really smells fresh and healthful. It is the best cocoa butter I have ever used. It comes wrapped in plastic and sealed. Then it comes in a foil lined zippered bag so you can store it until you use it up.HOW DOES THIS COCOA BUTTER PERFORM?Because this is so unrefined, I found that I needed to add some beeswax to my recipe to firm it up a bit. It will become oily at body temperature, but adding the bit of beeswax to the recipe made it so that it did not mush in the fingers as you grab the sides of the bar. This will need to be taken into consideration in anything you make with it. Many cocoa butters are not quite this way so you might need to adjust your recipe a bit to make it work.HOW DID I LIKE USING THIS?I can not wait to buy another pound of this stuff. I had to remake my bars a few times, but finally got the recipe right. It works wonders on fibromyalgia and is even more effective than the LUSH bars that I was copying. My husband who usually has to help me every night to get the treatments on my legs keeps raving about this stuff. He absolutely loves the smell. I also used this for lip balm and the results are fabulous. It works wonders on my lips which are HARD to find products that will help me.THE BOTTOM LINEThis cocoa butter is divine. It has a wonderful texture, but recipes might have to be adjusted slightly to make bars firmer if you use it for that. Lip balm is divine but some flavors might clash with the fragrance. One of the nicest cocoa butters I have used, I am very anxious to get more as soon as I can. This is such an enthusiastic 5 stars you can call it 10 if you like.I will update in the future with any more observations I have as I continue to use it.Ver másVer menos

It Is Worth It!
I purchased this product before and I really enjoyed it. I am expecting a new pound of coco butter today! :) I had my other bar for at least 6 months. This company is professional, timely, and they take extra care in preparing the product. The cocoa butter is very pure & you get results. You can't beat the price either. The key to using it is body heat. Once it makes contact with the body you can just rub it around and it will begin to melt naturally. I have never used the microwave because a little patience and elbow grease is better to me. It does have the natural coco butter smell & so I use it at night before I go to bed. I have also noticed that my stretch marks have begun to lighten and shrink a lot. I didn't expect that added bonus because no other product has done that for me. I have used everything from the high-end creams to the basic Palmers without ever seeing any results. I wasted so much money over the years on fake miracles in a bottle scams when I should have gone this natural route. I think the reason this product is working so well on my skin is because it's "pure" cocoa butter and not mixed with other additives like in the stores. Overall, it appears to quench the skin and improve that dented look that women get after having kids. Please DO NOT change the formula or add anything to the product like another poster suggested because it will change how it works and right now it is working GREAT! GREAT QUALITY
I absolutely love this cocoa butter! I bought it a while ago and recently repurchased it. As a person who relies heavily on customer reviews while buying a new product I thought I would take the time to write a good one for this cocoa butter. I have used natural/organic skin care products my whole life and this is the first time I used a cocoa butter with a rich cocoa scent that is moisturizing and does not break easily. This is QUALITY cocoa butter... QUALITY!! It is so good and so worth it. My skin is so moisturized and it is something I can share with my husband. We just rub it in our skin to melt it a little bit and it literally melts onto the skin. You do not need a lot and one bar will last you a long time.
