Great Quality Blackout Curtains
Starting night shift again soon as someone who worked it previously, I know how important it is to have 0 sunlight coming in when you’re sleeping. These work great, but there is a science to getting a completely blacked out room and if you use these with a regular curtain rod I think you will be disappointed. You need a wrap around curtain rod, sometimes they’re listed as blackout curtain rods. The rod goes all the way to the wall instead of being straight across. This helps block the side light coming in. Onto of the wrap around rod, you should get a double wrap around curtain rod. You can see my set up in one of the pictures I attached plus how dark my room is. I put these blackout curtains on the inside rod because I wanted some color in my room still, so I have thick green curtains on the outside rod for design. The inside rod is designed to be as close to the wall as possible so no light seeps in which is why it’s best to use blackout curtains like this on the inside rod. I would say these blackout curtains block ALMOST 100% of the light if the sun is not directly shining on your window. Doubling up with another thick curtain in front of these makes it 100% blackout.Ver másVer menos
