I just opened my p115 today and I am in love. I upgraded from a lower end Casio. I have tried the Casio Privia PX-150 (and its replacement, the PX-160) and I tried the PX-350. Although their touch was nice, none seemed to produce the sound I like from the p115. Honestly, I think the sampling sound is just much better on the p115. I did notice if I play pretty heavy that the speakers seem to clip just a tiny bit but honestly I don't really notice it and no one else will either (I'm picky of such things). It truly is a beautiful piano. I also tried the p105 and I felt a difference in both sound and touch. I know though technically isn't suppose to be a difference in sampling or the weighted keys, but it still felt this way. No regrets so far!! One of the best sounds from a digital piano I have heard (outside of computer samples).Ver másVer menos

Not Built for the Long Haul, and Not for Serious Players
I was impressed with this piano when I first received it. Eighty-eight keys, a bank of different sounds, nice clean, sleek look.After a while, I only preferred one piano sound for practicing with, the Gran Piano. Even that gets a little muddy-sounding in the lower registers, so not a clean capture of the realistic sound. On some of the presets, such as the Bright Grand Piano, you can hear the distinct spot (about an octave-and-a-half below Middle C) where the sampled sound changes, as if Yamaha didn't bother capturing each note but did a bit of sharing instead.Five years in, and I definitely would not invest the $700 for the unit. There are many keys where you can hear the keys rubbing and the "inside the unit" physical noise has become distracting. I am almost waiting for keys to stop working altogether.Bottom line -- this is a nice-looking unit for folks who want to dabble on the keys a few minutes a day or maybe just once a week for an hour. Since I retired nine months ago, I have been on the piano more than before, and every day I practice an hour of Hanon exercises using all of the keyboard except for a half octave at both the top and bottom of the register. I am not a pounder, but this almost gentle movement of my fingers for the last nine months has generated the majority of the noises I hear. I recommend for serious players to look elsewhere. It's a great keyboard!
It's a great keyboard!!I don't give it 5 stars because I had a problem with a stuck key 😤I started to freak out bcause of this. But with a little hard hit to it It was amazingly fixed!!And now It works perfect

Exceeded my expectation..
I read a lot of reviews before I considered this piano. I am very very happy. I have the stand and pedals too. The sound is excellent, if you use your ears it is perfect. and there are about 12 other sounds onboard that my little piano student loves. It is a bit pricey, but if you do not want to waste your money, here you go. Action is perfect, now, if you are used to playing a Steinway or whatever high-end piano.. be realistic. If you are looking for a piano for a room in your house that sounds great or a gift or something for a student, you will love this. It has 2 headphone outs. Good at first but has key issues over time
I was very happy with this purchase for the first few years. The keys had an ok feel, the speaker wasn't bad but the high notes are lacking, and the sound options were sufficient.It's been about 3.5 years which I believe puts it just out of warranty and now there are a few keys 3-4 that have come loose and rattle and don't function well at all. It makes it virtually unplayable if you need to repeatedly hit those keys.I wouldn't recommend this to a serious player if you want your investment to last past the warranty. Hoping Yamaha is willing to have it refurbished!Ver másVer menos
