No issues and decent performance
Not having a new unused original battery I cannot compare Kastar longevity and battery life against the Genuine Canon, however this battery does provide adequate battery life and good value.There were no issues in size, shape or fit of the battery.Interesting to note is that my family still uses four (4) PowerShot cameras when optical zoom is needed (phones that we have, or want, or can afford and probably 99% of phones in general at the time of writing do not include optical zoom, only digital zoom). We have the original Canon batteries and they work decent still. However extra batteries are always good to have as the times we use our PowerShot cameras are few and far between and the batteries deplete their charge just sitting in the camera.A highly rated off brand of batteries I purchased when I bought the cameras have now bulged and no longer physically fit into the camera body. After having a difficult time getting a bulging battery out once, we always do our best to store the camera with the original Canon battery. I wonder if these batteries will suffer the same fate? Only time will tell.Many PowerShot cameras featured a revolutionary energy efficient Backlit CMOS sensor that captured more light at higher resolution with higher chip yields (less bad sensor chips) as compared to standard CMOS. CCD sensors were and are still the go to for cheap and small sensors, but use more energy and create pictures with more noise ang grain. This translated into higher quality pictures and longer battery life at only a slightly higher cost as compared to CCD sensor cameras. These Backlit CMOS cameras are still quite good, outperforming the microscopic sensors (and often CCD) in many smart phones. There is still a huge following of Backlit CMOS sensor point and shoot cameras. As such batteries like these will continue to provide a use to those users that want them.Ver másVer menos
