Seems to just work with EVERYTHING
Basically it's a Brawler 64 conoller and borrows from Retrobits altered design for the N64 into a 2 handled more mainstream design then Nintendo's 3 handled one meant to be used as multiple types of controllers. This is a massive pro if you want to think about this like it's a potted updated version of the 3D Sega Saturn pad as it gives you the proper button layout and both a digital and analog option for playing 2D fighters. The analog has an 8 way directional gate and the D pad is very solid being on pair if not better than Nintendo's past products. The only two flaws of this come physically from the lack of the 3 handled design being in favor only for the games like Golden Eye that would have you using both D pad and Analog for movement while aiming and digitally in how this pad may or may not be recognized by the corresponding software you are trying to use it with.I played the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and was able to set up the 4 C buttons as medium and high punches and kicks but the software showed no indication of some even being set... I just had to try the game and thankfully everything worked out however a lot of games aren't going to play nice with this because the C buttons are set like a left analog stick in their software profiles. Now this is something 8bitdo can easily fix by adding an alternative profile to the firmware that veiws the C buttons as something like X Y and R1 R2 for example, but looking at some of their products like the Neo Geo pad that as far as I am aware has never gotten a single update and still uses its bata firmware my guess is as long as it serves its intended purpose the product will continue to exist as it is despite having higher potential unfortunately. But when it works this thing WORKS GREAT and while I'm sure it will happen I haven't yet run into a game that has outright rejected it yet and if your intention is to use it for classic emulation then just know that the support while sometimes confusing is often VERY BROAD with that stuff so playing a bunch of Saturn or N64 games should be completely possible even if the emulator is giving you fits you can work around that stuff with old programs like Joytokey to trick your PC in that example into believing the pads buttons are keyboard keys.In short this is basically just a better Sega pad with rumble when it works even the 2 Z buttons where able to be told to do something different in Street Fighter so you like me might never find a problem with this thing even when actively looking for one. This is a great product.Ver másVer menos
