The quality of the strings is very good and well thought out and it appears as if ...
I purchased 5 sets of these for our pool enclosure and installed them this weekend. The quality of the strings is very good and well thought out and it appears as if they made the string, then poured a solid rubber mold onto the set to make it very sturdy and water resistant. There is a mounting tab above each bulb so you can fasten them without pinching the wiring or risking damaging it. The sets come well packaged and there is no tangling. The bulbs are packed separately inside another box for additional protection and each set came with a spare bulb. Since we were stringing them over 25 feet lengths and some of them are over a pool, we ran a 1/8" galvanized steel cable and used stainless steel zip ties to fasten each bulb mounting tab to the cable to reduce the stress on the wiring and ensure safety.Firing up the lights for the first time was a WOW moment! The individual bulbs are not super bright but in the string they really light up the area with a nice incandescent glow. I wish we had found these years ago, I used to run white christmas lights along the enclosure to help light the patio up and would have to use flashlights to see the grill!There are similar lights from other sellers, but I am glad I purchased from Brightech, as the kits I got were high quality and really look more expensive than they are. While they are not inexpensive, they are a great value and I am so happy that I won't be worrying about whether the lights will work every time I use them like I would with the lower quality christmas lights with fake plastic globes made to look like these.Ver másVer menos

Perfect amount of light/Big/Good looking/High quality
Perfect for a venue, backyard lights, wedding lights, etc. They have been hanging in my backyard for 3 years and only 1 bulb has broken. It comes with extra bulbs and is super high quality. Each set is 48 feet long & we needed 2 for our small deck.

Impressed with quality and elated with look!
I never leave reviews and I thought that I must for these Brightech lights! We bought them to go around our deck, strung from 2x2x8 poles from Home Depot. We wanted to provide light and ambiance in the backyard while we sit. Well the ambiance is gorgeous, relaxing, and exactly how I wanted them to look. They are Edison lightbulbs which add character and lights are spaced apart about 3 inches, so they are not overwhelming.Something that took me by surprise that I think people should be aware of is their WEIGHT. These are commercial grade lights that can be used in cafés and restaurants. They're pretty but heavy duty... That being said, they are HEAVY. My original plan of hanging them did not work. I cemented the poles into planters and then added dirt and plants. The lights are so heavy that the planters fell right over. Instead, we drills the poles to the side of our deck so that they are immobile and the nights are hung from industrial eye hooks. It. Looks. Awesome! The weight has been accounted for and I am so happy with their quality. I am actually thankful for their weight, you get what you pay for!! Customer service is amazing, too!Ver másVer menos

What you need to know
This set of string lights is very high quality, thick gauge and strong.Here is what I recommend getting with this set:replace the bulbs that come with the set with these bulbs ... ASOKO LED Dimmable Vintage Edison Bulbs Antique Style 2300K Warm White (Amber Gold Glass), 6W. - these are a much more romantic or ascetically pleasing bulb to look at, with a very warm light. Plus they will last years longer than filament type bulbs, and use way less energy.Then add a remote control dimmer to the line:Otronics580W Max Outdoor Dimmer for String Lights, w/ Wireless RemoteYou will also need a GE 3-Prong to 2-Prong Ground lift AdapterAnd depending on where your power source outlet is, you will most likely need an Outdoor Extension Cord, 3 prong Weatherproof, 16 GaugeAnd I cover all my connection points with black electrical tape.I first ran a line of rubber coated black wire on the path I wanted the lights to go on. Then I used black zip ties to attach the brightteck string lights to the wire. This made it so that the lights did not bend down so much between anchor points. It also takes some weight stress off of the string lights, and makes the whole line more secure in a wind storm.Ver másVer menos

Great Lights
I absolutely love your Brightech WP Outdoor Lights. I needed a way to bring the outside deck into my inside living space. My deck is very large with a lot of mature trees around it.It's a great space to hang out in Alaska winter or summer. Now with my new Brightech lights the whole area has this brilliant ambient light.I wanted to get the most durable ones I could find. The lights are strong but elegant and I love the bulbs. I have them on right now sitting out on the deck. It's raining and some of the lights are hanging on a tree.(waterproof)The lights were easy to hang. I installed two sets of 48ft lights in about a hour. Remember not to step on the sockets they do bend but it was easy to reshape.I'm curious if the extreme cold is going to affect the lights in any way...? Very good, but not perfect...
These are nice looking, lights that should certainly last for an extended period of time. With the 11 watt standard bulbs, they put out just the right amount of light for evening entertaining -- not too dark, and not too bright. Also, the fact that you can chain up to 8 strands together is a huge plus compared to most other lower cost alternatives. There are a few issues however: 1.) These lights are VERY heavy. I had to have my contractor return to add more tension to the guide wires and they still sagged noticeably once the lights were hung. 2.) The three foot spacing between the lights actually looks fine, but the "tails" at the end of each strand are also approximately 3 feet in length which creates a 6 foot gap when the strands are strung together. 1.5ft "tails" would allow for consistent spacing of the bulbs and a better overall look. 3) Even with guide wires, it is visually more appealing when the strands are pulled fairly tight which can cause the male and female ends of the plug connector to come apart when linking strands. You could probably solve this with duct tape, but that's a bit of a hack and again, not visually appealing. They should have a locking mechanism that allows for necessary tension to be applied without the plugs coming apart. That being said, I'm generally pleased overall.Ver másVer menos
