Excellent Tortilla Press
This tortilla press is sturdy, well made, and very easy to use. It makes evenly shaped tortillas and feels very durable. I’m very happy with the quality and performance.

8" works super great on the gas grill
Take your cast iron out of the kitchen and onto the grill. Less mess, less odors. And you can get that skillet really, really HOT, HOT, HOT!Heard so much about this brand of cast iron skillets that I had to come to this product page and check things out. But I already have wonderful vintage, well-seasoned cast iron skillets from 14" down to 10". So my eyes zoned in on the 8". And I started thinking about all the dishes for one or two people--that I could accomplish on my gas grill.Preheat the gas grill on high for 15 minutes, and preheat an empty cast iron skillet at the same time. I imagined it, I pictured it, and I planned on it--but I was still surprised by the magnificent, simply-seasoned, bone-in, skin-on, chicken thighs that I created. It was so easy, and it was quick, too. And the skin was as crispy as what we wished for. Inside was succulent and juicy. I don't think I'll ever do chicken thighs on the kitchen cook top again. The smaller surface area contains the minimum of rendered fat from the thighs, just enough fat to brown up a few veggies or fruit chunks along the edges. The 8" size means that I can always find room for it on any of my grills. And one 8" pan fits 3-4 thighs, or two leg-quarters, several pork chops or two pieces of fresh tuna. Pre-heating the pan ensures a terrific sear. It is just the right size for onion and peppers or onion and mushrooms, or shrimp or squid rings. Carrying the 8" is effortless, too. "Dragging" the pan out to the yard is a non-issue with the 8".These 8" pans are cute, too, and can make it to the table if you coddle it in some suitable towels to cover the bottom and the handles. And I've confirmed what I've read: The handles are comfortable, the pour spout is a welcome feature (especially on this 8" which is so easy to lift and maneuver). And, as Epicurious says in one of their articles, the pre-seasoning is very effective. Love my vintage pans, but I'm loving these new 8" pans, too.(And, I'm working on a recipe to make individual de-constructed gumbo in these 8" pans pre-heated on a hot gas grill: A chicken thigh, a small sausage link, ample cuts and chunks of onion, celery, green pepper, a few whole okra, and seasoning. Rice in the cooker, and a thawed freezer portion of gumbo broth/sauce heating up on a grill side burner.) Sounds like a good plan to me--my 6-month old Electrolux induction cook top is waiting on warranty repair--for the second time! And this second time is into its second month! So I'm getting creative and am taking my cooking outside more and more often. (Don't buy Electrolux!)Ver másVer menos

Abolutely love my cast iron tortilla press. Nothing is better than making you own tortillas. The cast iron press is extremely sturdy and works beautifully, it flattens dough evenly with minimual effort making the whole process quick and enjoyable.

Victoria skillet is a keeper .
I bought the 8 inch and 10 inch at the same time , I am starting with the 8 inch first . I washed , dried then heated stove top as in instructions say and oiled inside and out after . I did 2 layers of my own seasoning at 425 for a hour each , not needed but I did it anyway . It’s a bit smoother than another well known brand name it is a finer sand casting grit I guess . I like both the 10 inch and the 8 inch , both are well made , no sharp edges or burs , or imperfections . I opted for the original graphics on the bottom . Color is turning darker as it should , if you want a good starter set of cast iron this might be what you need ! I already have all the cast iron I needed , some glass smooth and most corse , just wanted to try Victoria brand . I will change this if my eggs stick in he morning 😆Have fun !Ver másVer menos

This seems like it will be a good skillet
This seems like it will be a good skillet. We received it today, cleaned it, and immediately cooked with it. I figured I'd share my thoughts as I normally stick to Lodge products, but have ventured off to other manufacturers as well. I am not new to cooking with cast iron, but I am not someone with years of experience either. . . but here are my thoughts, so take them for what you will.-Fit and FinishThe build quality is pretty good. I can't say it's flawless, but overall everything is very uniform. I have seen a few Chinese manufactured skillets with varying thicknesses in the pan wall, or handle, but not so on this Victoria 8in skillet. Everything is pretty uniform. The overall texture is a little rough, but nothing excessive. The only part not uniform is the cooking surface. One part is very smooth, while the rest is the standard texture to be found on most new cast iron products. There was one small spot on the bottom that had no seasoning and was probably beginning to rust, but I've restored two other skillets before so that was of no concern to me. This can be seen in the picture of the bottom. (I cleaned it, after cooking and reapplying oil I didn't see any rust)-DimensionsThe skillet measures 8in (~20.32cm) in diameter from the outside edges of the skillet wall. The cooking surface is about 6 1/4in (15.8cm) in diameter. The handle is about 5 1/4in (13.34cm) in length. The handle is nice and you can get a comfortable grip on it.-Other thoughts/conclusionsThis seems like it will be an overall nice pan to add to our little assortment of cookware. There are some decent care instructions on the cardboard cover, and the cover isn't secured to the skillet with any tacky glue like stuff either. If you are new to cast iron, there are many good resources out there with various methods of caring for your skillet and seasoning it. The basics for care are: let the cast iron cool down, rinse the cast iron in warm water, and use either a stiff bristled brush or a plastic scraper to remove any cooked on crud. You can add salt as well when you use the brush to help remove stuff. No need to use brute force or you will simply remove the seasoning. Rinse again and immediately dry off the cast iron. Some people will also put it on a burner (low heat) for a few minutes to burn off any hidden water. Then add a light coat of oil. Too much oil and it will become sticky. We've tried canola, vegetable, and shortening. . . They all have the same effect for us. Overall I think I could recommend this pan.

Great Tortilla Press and more!
I’ve been using this cast iron tortilla press regularly for the past few weeks, and it’s made homemade tortillas so much easier and more consistent than pressing them by hand. What I like:Heavy, sturdy build: The cast iron feels solid and durable — no flimsy parts.Consistent results: I get evenly shaped, evenly thick tortillas every time, which makes cooking way less frustrating.Easy to use: Just place the dough ball, press down, and rotate — simple and quick.Multi-use: I’ve even used it for small flatbreads and wraps with great results. One thing to note is that the press is heavier than I expected, so I store it on a lower shelf. But that weight is really what gives it such great pressing power.Overall, this cast iron tortilla press has been worth it. If you like making your own tortillas — especially regularly — this is a tool that will make the process smoother and faster. Highly recommend!Ver másVer menos
