Oh! How Happy We’ll Be!
Behold the creature, fair and bright,This ammonite is, a most curious sight! With a spiraled shell of amber hue,And tentacles reaching, a marvel true.Verily, it moveth with grace in the deep, While all the great leviathans silently sleep.Thou shalt not find, in all of the land,A creature so well-wrought by a master’s hand.Oh, the curves of the shell, how they wind and they twist!A beauty so rare, it must not be missed. It gladdens the heart and it quickens the eye,More wondrous than any that swim or that fly!It is good, it is grand, it is splendid, yea!And truly, I say, it hath cheered up my day.So gaze upon this ammonite with joy and with mirth,For surely, it is the most perfect thing on earth!Behold and attend to this glorious sight,A cheerful ammonite shining bright!Verily, verily, lookest thou well,At the marvelous curves of its spiraling shell! It is a beast from the deep of the sea,As perfectly strange as a creature can be!With tentacles reaching, yea, out from its snout,It waveth them, waveth them, round and about!"How excellent truly!" the prophets will shout,"Behold how it stretcheth its tentacles out!"Its eye is as gold as the treasures of kings,A testament grand unto whimsical things. It bringeth great joy to the soul of the meek,The loveliest ammonite that anyone seek!So praise it with harps, and lift up a glad cry,For no finer ammonite shall ever pass by!Ver másVer menos

Such a great find!!!
I have a special fondness for prehistoric sea creatures, they have very intriguing designs, although they're very hard to come by, let alone well detailed and within budget. Thankfully this hits all three marks! Looks cool, feels cool, nice solid weight and texture.Ver másVer menos

Perfect for fossil lessons about ammonites!
Very nice replica of what an ammonite would look like. I use it to teach a lesson about fossils.

... soft body parts of the animal and is a pretty good guess to how the ammonites looked
This figure packs a lot of detail for the soft body parts of the animal and is a pretty good guess to how the ammonites looked, maybe the shell is a bit too drab in brown but the paint washes do a good job of bringing out the detail in the sculpt.

Nice Texture and Well Painted
Great Model! I have it sitting next to a fossil ammonite on my office shelf to give viewers a visual as to how this little creature may have looked. It measures about 4.5" - 5" long (depends if the long flexible portion sticks straight out or bends down slightly), about 2.5" tall and about 2.5" wide at its widest part. It is painted very well with some great coloring choices.Ver másVer menos
