Great saw - Great Value.
Great saw for taking down limbs around the house and in the woods. Also fantastic for hunting taking the antlers. Teeth are very aggressive and sharp, but cut clean in soft as well as hard wood. Works in pull and push strokes equally well. Hinge is very sturdy and blade is stiff enough to not bend and buckle when sawing. Teeth are Very easy to clean and blade stays folded. Wil not cut your backpack up when carrying. Back side edges of saw are deburred and do not cut your hand when handling. Molded handle is easy to hold and very comfortable. Performs well, cuts easily and precisely
Very sharp, very easy to use, very good tool. I miss the wood (hickory?) handle but the performance is top notch. Opens and locks closed easily, too. Read more

Top notch saw - Fiskar is the way to go
I've found Fiskars products to be a great product for their price point. Fiskar is good quality and more affordable option. I have the 16' telescoping saw + trimmer which is fantastic, so I decided to go with this for smaller jobs closer to the ground. And over all I'm happy with it. I have a couple of physical conditions that can sometimes hold me back, but I can't afford the brands I would normally want. I ordered this because I was shocked on how fast my current saw worked on higher branches that were pretty thick, so I got this smaller version for things closer to the ground. The feel, durability, grip and sharpness did not disappoint. This saw cut right through bigger branches quickly and with ease once you get it started. It doesn't grab and bite into the branches as I expected. I must admit I prefer the long telescoping saw over this hand held one. Best folding saw I've found under $20
I love this saw for what it is - a packable, durable, aggressive little saw for the layman. It is the highest quality folding saw I have found in the under $20 price range (sharper, stronger, stiffer blade; reliable lock; compact). I use it 2-3 times a month; at work for clearing smaller limbs from trails, collecting samples, etc...and at home for most of my pruning chores - anything larger than 4-6 inches and you need an arborist or a chainsaw anyway. No, it is not a chain saw or even a bow saw, it isn't the right saw for cutting down mature trees or keeping a wood burning stove going, but it is perfect for light pruning, camping, clearing sight lines for hunting, emergency car kit, etc... It does work better on fresh green wood, but can handle dry dead wood if you take your time and don't force it. I had my first saw for 5-6 years until I was being stupid and bent the blade (sawing contest vs bigger saws - I still won), so I just ordered two more since I haven't seen them in the store lately. If you need a professional grade daily user, this probably isn't the saw for you. Everyone else: use it for the appropriate sized task, use proper technique and you'll be happy with this saw. FABULOUS!
i have had my share of gardening equipment--i also had my own gardening company--suffice it to say that im not new to this rodeo!! i was pruning a 5-yr. old brugmansia tree when my inept pruning knife (really a jab saw) kicked the bucket--i panicked and ordered pruners similar to felco's but when they arrived, i realized that 5/8" by-pass pruners weren't going to do the trick and figured that i absolutely LOVE my 5-piece fiskar scissor set i got on amazon, so figured i'd rely on buying by brand -- omg! first of all, dont wait til the 11h hour to replace old pruning equipment---the difference was night n' day--i was breaking a sweat trying to prune branches with a dull saw--the fiskars pruner cut thru the branches like they were butter!! it was effortless!! most of the folding knife pruners are "pull" only--this method of pruning --one-way--isnt in my dna--while i know that it might be a "pull only" apparatus, my default it to automatically push and pull--the one-way method to me is unnatural--pull, then reposition just to pull again?? why? ... i also saw a few "push-only" types--who makes up these things? i searched multiple times, multiple days (with a half-pruned tree) before i somehow stumbled upon these fiskar pruners--hands down, worth every cent (and more!!) i can say honestly that i am still awed by the fact that three days later, i am still looking for more things to cut back--i'm sure i cut my pruning time in half --these would make a great stocking stuffer!!! Makes short work of most tree limbs!
All the reviews with broken handles are evidence of people who don't know how to use a saw. A saw is a speed tool. It cuts through the object because of the repeated sawing motion. If you're using downward force on the object while sawing, you're doing it wrong. Also, who cuts a 5-6" limb with a PORTABLE FOLDING SAW? Just because you can use a screwdriver as a hammer doesn't mean you should! Use the right tool for the job! I used this to break down some larger branches that fell in my yard (thanks for the free firewood, neighbor!). Makes short work of 2" diameter branches. Sharp as heck and never clogged once!
