CITRULLINE SPRITZER - Potassium Bicarbonate Buffering - TRY IT NOW!
Try making a CITRULLINE SPRITZER by first dissolving 1.5 - 2 teaspoons of this Citrulline Malate powder in about 6oz - 10oz of water. *Then*, after it's thoroughly dissolved, add a heaping 1/4 teaspoon - 1/2 teaspoon of POTASSIUM BICARBONATE, and mix well.The result is an effervescent, fizzy, slightly tangy drink that's sugar free, high in potassium, EXTREMELY satisfying (like the best soda you've ever had that just HITS THE SPOT), and also lower in acidity so it's friendlier to the enamel on your teeth.I just guestimate the ratios, but I'd say that's typically what I do. Sometimes a heaping teaspoon of citrulline malate to a slightly heaping 1/4 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate. 1/4 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate powder from this brand has roughly 250mg of elemental potassium, which is a solid dose, especially if you're having 2 or 3 of these drinks a day. That can go towards making up the shortfall in potassium intake: most people are about 1.5 GRAMS short of the potassium they should be getting each day.Combine this CITRULLINE SPRITZER with seasoning your food with potassium chloride along with your usual salt -- this brand also sells potassium chloride -- and you're well on your way to boosting your potassium intake every day, which has a LOT of major health benefits.I tried buffering Citrulline with sodium bicarbonate and it tasted HORRIBLE. I strongly recommend getting some POTASSIUM BICARBONATE and using it to buffer and fizz this CITRULLINE MALATE to make an ABSOLUTELY REFRESHING soda, sugar-free and extremely hydrating and satisfying.Play around with the ratios until you find what you like. I like just a slight amount of tang/tartness. High quality, evidence based ingredients sold individually at an amazing price. Build your own supplements!
I recently added a pre-workout shake to my regimen, but I had a lot of trouble finding one I liked for many reasons:1. Ineffective ingredients (which can be either useless or harmful)2. Inadequate or excessive amounts of the ingredients which are actually evidence based to provide you benefits. A pre-workout shake should not be one-size-fits-all.3. CAFFEINE! (and other stimulants) - I know it is effective at giving you a boost, but I workout at night within a few hours of sleeping...4. Price - 30 servings for like $50? Forget that!BulkSupplements solved ALL my problems! By ordering four of the most scientifically proven pre-workout supplements in bulk, I saved money and have more control over what I am putting in my body and in what amounts. I ordered the following four products for my pre-workout:Beta AlanineCreatine MonohydrateBCAAsL-CitrullineBulkSupplements has a huge variety of products available at ridiculously good prices with a huge number of serving sizes. Instead of dropping $50 for about 30 servings, I have hundreds of servings for about the same price. I have used the above four ingredients mixed with a bit of water about 10 times now. Some observations:PROS- They WORK! There is a noticeable difference in my workouts. I feel more energized (and less lethargic mid-set), I have more power behind each rep, and I am seeing results a lot faster.- They take about 15-30 minutes to "kick in" depending on how big/recent my last meal was.- I am able to experiment with proportions of each ingredient to find the best fit for me.- As I have a chance to do more research I will be able to add new products to my regimen easily since I can buy each one individually.- Most importantly, I love that I have these ingredients as separate packages! This enables me to use each ingredient for multiple purposes (like using the BCAAs in both my pre-workout and my post-workout; allowing me to saturate with higher doses of creatine before I go down to a maintenance level, etc.)CONS- Taste and appearance. Yeah, pre-mixed pre-workouts probably taste better and look like a fancy sports drink because they are filled with Xylitol and Yellow-80, so my mixture of 4 ingredients plus a little water leaves me gagging over the sink trying to choke it down. But I kind of expected that. You may be able to mix this with orange juice or something to make it less awful?- Packaging. No scoops and the zip lock is kind of hard to close. Custom Pre-Workout Stack by Bulk Supplements
I purchased this product as a part of my own pre-workout stack consisting of 4 g Beta Alanine, 6 g Citrulline Malate, and 4 g Creatine Monohydrate. I have taken a few other pre-workouts in the past and do not like many of the added fillers ($$), and having to deal with unknown dosage amounts that end up in "proprietary blends". Bulk Supplements provide exactly what they advertise, the purest form of said ingredients at very reasonable products. That being said, the quality of the products are top notch and my results have been reflective of that. I have made significant gains on my lifts in both volume and number, increased strength, stamina, and endurance, and have been able to do so on a caloric deficit without compromise. My aim was to control the specific dosages of each ingredient for my desired results (fat loss and muscle gain), and Bulk Supplements have allowed me to do that. All three powders mix and dissolve very well with water, with no clumping or residue left behind in the shaker bottle.Beta Alanine is said to help prevent muscular fatigue during workouts, while Citrulline Malate is a vaso-dialator, which leads to a better pump. Creatine Monohydrate helps support lean muscle and ATP synthesis while aiding in muscular recovery. It is especially beneficial for anaerobic exercises that require that extra push.As far as I can tell, the Beta Alanine and Creatine Monohydrate both have neutral flavors, but the Citrulline Malate is extremely bitter. I would recommend mixing with some form of sweetener to offset the bitterness and make this blend more palatable. I use Fruit Punch Gatorade powder (11g) for my mix and it works for me. This is only about a half dose of the Gatorade powder as listed on the bottle, but again, trying to cut involves limiting sugar and calorie intake. Some may want it sweeter, but I'm taking this for results, not taste.To anyone looking to build a custom pre-workout, I would highly recommend using Bulk Supplements. Shipping is fast, accurate, and relatively inexpensive compared to the flashier brands you will see in places like GNC. I will soon be adding BCAA 2:1:1 into my daily routine to help with muscle soreness and recovery as well.Ver másVer menos

Effective Ingredient for a Simple, Custom Pre-Workout Stack
This L-citrulline malate powder has been a solid addition to my homemade pre-workout mix. It blends well with guarana and electrolytes without too much hassle, especially once shaken or mixed thoroughly. It does have a very sour taste by itself, but when mixed with other ingredients, it is not very noticeable.In use, it noticeably improves pump and workout endurance, and I’ve found it works better for me than some of the more expensive pre-workout blends on the market. Being able to control the dosage and ingredients is a big plus. It has been easy on my stomach which is good because I have heard that some experience GI issues with this supplement.Overall, it’s a cost-effective method if you prefer building your own pre-workout instead of relying on pre-formulated products.Ver másVer menos

Effective & a Great Value
Bulk Supplements is my go to when it comes to any kind of powdered supplement that can be taken with water or juice. Why? I trust the brand and the purity of the products. And they have the best price point (value).As far as their Citrulline Malate - it's awesome. I get great blood flow and pumps within about 15-20 minutes (the pumps can be great for the gym or great for "other" activities as well). It has a slightly sour taste but can easily be mixed with preworkout or juice. I also feel like I sweat easier too. The powder mixes well.
