Fantastic deal
For the price, this is a fantastic product. The nonrefurbished version, however, probably wouldn't be worth the money. I've been using this for about three weeks now without incident, but there are a few minor negative points:-Painfully slow interface-Extremely lightweight, making it hard to position upright as just the weight of the cables attached to it will make it fall over-Nonintuitive options and setupThese are very minor flaws, but ones that would annoy me if I had paid the full price of (currently) 45 dollars instead of half that. Considering it from the price point that I paid, I can't justify any kind of complaint, and I would strongly recommend this router, as it is:-VERY quick to set up. I had it out of the box and running in about ten minutes.-Quite handsome. High-gloss black plastic (mine even came with removable plastic film on the sides to protect the finish) and very nice looking lights.-Shipped with a very reasonable warranty.It functions very well, seems to not inhibit my transfer speeds at all, doesn't drop connections, and allows all of the security setups, filters, and options you might want. This router is definitely far better than your typical Belkin or lower-tier Netgear, and at roughly the same price. There are some little annoyances, but, hey, it's cheap and it works.Ver másVer menos

Netgear WNR2000 N300 Wireless Router - Manufacturer Refurbished
This router is just what I needed. Even the price of $18 was right. I did buy another router from Amazon.com but it didn't work for all of my devices especially my daughters older computer. Everything else worked including my Kindle (that I also boutht from Amazon).I returned the other one and as soon as I brought it to my local UPS store, as soon as I got back home I received a email from Amazon that a full refund was being returned to me credit card.Anyway, I hooked this Netgear WNR2000 N300 Wireless Router - Manufacturer Refurbished up and it was able to work with everything on my network. I found out why after doing a little research of my own.It seems that most of the new routers are N compatable but not G backward compatable. However this one is listed as N compatable but after doing my research it is also backward compatable with G. This is why everything in my network works, new and old as well. It even works with my VOIP (magic jack) system.So, if your looking for something that will work with all of your things wheather they are new or old this is the one for you. As far as being a referb don't let this decide your decission because it comes with plastic wrap on it just like a new one does and it actually looks just like it was new and also works just like it was new. For only about $18 you simply can't go wrong. It may not offer a lifetime warranty just a 30 day warranty but if it breaks down in a year or two you simply buy another one for less then $20.Ver másVer menos

The product came with the Router and Cable and a Power Supply in a NetGear brown box. I originally left a Two Star Review for the fulfillment of this product because I had to use my External Hard Drive power supply to get it to work. It did work and I ended up keeping it however this problem could have been caught if the unit was plugged in to make sure the lights came on.Amazon said they would give me a Refund and Luuki_Luuki contacted me after leaving them a 2 Star saying they would provide full refund.=======================For those of you wanting to put after market Firmware on this Router... Forget It.. The V3 routers can not take third party firmware like Tomato.I will also say that after I got the Router working the Router requested to download a new Firmware Version.. I thought OK SURE.. however in the new firmware WPS Settings are Grayed and WPS is forced on. This is a Manufacturer problem where they are requiring WPS to be ON and not giving you the ability to turn it off anymore... This is a Security Problem because WPS can be hacked .. BUT this router has a 3 try then lock out feature that requires you to go to your router and reboot it before another device can try WPS... I still don't like that you are not able to turn it off completely ....If you don't know what WPS is .. basically it lets external devices try to connect to your wifi and instead of them entering a long cryptic password all they need is the Pin Number on the device and the password is entered automatically on the Phone or Laptop... this makes things easy maybe but anyone that knows that pin can get in.with WPS forced on and the inability to change the PIN.. that means anyone can connect if they know your pin number.. even if you put in a 63 character password all they need is the 8 digit Pin and they are in. Even if you change the password .. they can still get in with the pin.and they will get in on the first try if they know the pinhowever if they don't know the pin.. there is the three try then lockout.. hopefully that works .. hopefully your old girl/boyfriend doesn't remember your pin and drive by your house one day too... geezA very good feature of this device is that you can turn off WiFi by a button on the back that looks like a reset but its not it turns off wifi and lets the wired devices continue working. This is good if you are going out or to work or school.. you can also turn WiFi off on a Schedule or within the router control setup.So It is an ok Router. Luuki_Luuki seems like an Ok company.. A number of companies fulfill these refurbished routers on Amazon you may or may not get Luuki_Luuki as the seller when you make your order.Just remember EVERY ROUTER OUT THERE NOW CAN BE HACKED... every wifi router whether its $19 or $190.. its a scary situation now kiddies.. nothing seems to be secure or private anymore.. just do your best.

The maligned router that could - and can
This router is an enigma. It's made but what I think is considered a good company, but it's not a publicly popular router. This router came with the V3 hardware, which means that it can't run Tomato due to the wrong chipset. The onboard memory is also too small to run Tomato.I live in a two story, 3000+ sq foot house so I need a powerful router. I was concerned that this doesn't seem to have two antennas like my classic Linksys WRT54G. So far that doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm downstairs with 5 bars of signal and awesome performance.For those who want to know - the 3rd party router firmwares are DD-WRT and Tomato - they are way better than stock firmwares typically, with a lot more control and way more stability.So this router comes with a dud hardware. Is it useful? So far - it is awesome. The factory firmware is very good, but since the installed firmware was at a 1.1 level as I recall - all I had to do was install the latest DD WRT which would fit the onboard memory.It was a very easy install - straightforward - no weird stuff. And it came right up. I set my wireless security and it was awesome. It's roughly 70% faster than my G router copying a 1GB movie file across the network. More importantly, I get all kinds of logging and configuration options with DD WRT.This is only the first day with this router, so I am not yet confident that it is a great purchase. In terms of quality, my classic Linksys WRT54G puts it to shame with two external antennas, substantial build quality and heft. This Netgear is extremely light and I question how long it will last. I do like the built in lights which easily tell what connections are active.Overall this is looking like it will be a great purchase. If I can get through the next few months with the stability and performance I expect, I will be happy.Ver másVer menos

Great wireless router!
I just bought this refurbished model because it was only $16.99 on Amazon. I figured, why not, right? I had little to lose. I have had good luck with refurbished products and this is no exception. It came in a Netgear box, had plastic wrapping on all components, and looked brand new. It was easy to set up and it solved my wireless issue. I was using an older Linksys G router. That router was good but could not handle the speeds that this one can. Now I have fast, reliable speed and it only cost me $16.99! If you are in need of a wireless router, I highly recommend this one. There is no need in spending $50 on a basic router from Best Buy when you can get this one at this price.Ver másVer menos

STOPS working after a couple of months!!
I bought this Router in Nov 2013 and it worked fine for a couple of months, but then everything went downhill from there.I started experiencing break in connections when I had to restart my router and slow network speed [I was getting around 2 Mbps, when I have the Blast Plus Plan (50Mbps)]. I gave it a decent try even changing the modem to see if the problem lies there, but the only resolution was changing my router. I bought the TP - LInk Router. (TP-LINK TL-WR841N Wireless N300 Home Router, 300Mpbs, IP QoS, WPS Button) for less than 20 bucks and it works great giving me my deserved 50Mbps.I am not sure if the Netgear WNR2000 would have worked better if I had bought a new one.Ver másVer menos
