A Little Goes a Long Way – Great for Dry Hair When Used Correctly
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil for quite some time, and I’m already on my second bottle. It has become one of my favorite hair oils because once I learned how much my hair actually needed, the results were amazing.My hair is naturally dry, fine, and not very thick. Before using this oil, I struggled with dry ends, frizz, and a lack of shine.The biggest lesson I learned is that less is definitely more, especially if you have fine hair. I only use a very small amount—less than one full pump—because using too much can make my hair feel heavy or look greasy. Once I found the right amount for my hair, it made a huge difference.I actually prefer applying it to dry hair because I can immediately see how much product my hair needs. When I apply oil to damp hair, it’s much easier to accidentally use too much before it dries.One of my favorite ways to use it is as an overnight pre-shampoo treatment. Before going to bed, I apply a more generous amount from the mid-lengths to the ends, especially if I plan to wash my hair the next morning. After washing, my ends always feel incredibly soft, smooth, and healthy.I also love the scent. It has a warm, sweet fragrance that reminds me of caramel and almonds without being overpowering.Another reason I enjoy this oil is that it helps smooth frizz and adds shine while keeping my ends hydrated. My daughter also enjoys using it. She has thick, naturally curly hair, while mine is fine and straight, so we both adjust the amount based on our different hair types, and it works beautifully for both of us.If you have dry hair, I definitely recommend giving this oil a try. Just remember that the right amount depends on your hair type. Fine hair needs much less than thick or curly hair.
