Works fine for adult cockatiels
Needed a carrier to take my full grown cockatiel to the vet for wing, nail, and beak trimming. He flies like a rocket when fully flighted, so a sturdy carrier is top priority. This was a perfect size. My bird could stand at full height with plenty of space to move around in. The weight was also great. I have a severe disability, and this product is very light, so I was able to carry it without needing assistance, as I generally do. There are plenty of air vents on the sides all around and on the top. the only down side is that the top seems a little flimsy, but when/if it snaps off, I plan to just use large rubber bands (The big tan ones used in offices with large files) to hold it together. Also, would be nice if there were holders for at least water, but also for a snack or food for longer trips. I DID required assistance to assemble, but, again, I'm sure that was due to my disability. My bro in law assembled it in just a couple of minutes easily. No tools required. Just snaps together. One of the best things is the clear top. My bird was comforted by being able to keep me in his sight, thus decreasing his new experience anxiety. The vet and her staff all commented on how cute and cool this carrier is. Almost forgot..I put an old wash cloth on the bottom to prevent slipping and sliding. Worked great. I recommend this 99%. One point off for flimsy lid. The way this is made tho can be easily gerry rigged to keep using even after a broken lid..as mentioned with large rubber bands or twine. The price is so good too, now small bird owners don't have to pay $80 plus to have a decent carrier.Ver másVer menos
