Old and dried out * ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW UPGRADED TO 5 STAR**

I read some other reviews complaining about apparently old and dried out Sprays, but I tried these anyway, given that this is my first "Budgie" experience. The first bag didn't appear to be terribly fresh, however all the seeds weren't falling off and the birds really loved this stuff. I bought another bag since the first one used up really quick, and the second bag was worse, very dry, but still usable. I just had to be careful when handling each Spray to keep the seeds from falling off. This is the most recent bag that I bought and the Sprays are so dried out that they are more or less unusable. The plastic bag that they are packaged in had more seeds in the bottom, than on the Spray's. In fact, the padded mailing envelope was also full of seeds because they fell out of what I assume to be an "air hole" in the plastic package bag. There is a "Best Used By" stamp on the bag, however if there is an associated date, it's not decipherable. Even if it were, I wouldn't want to bother to have to return an out-of-date bag. I do believe that such date should be "understandable" and checked by the Seller, and old Product should not be sold.I will no longer buy this brand, but at this point I'm not sure what my next choice will be.************************************************************************************************edited and upgraded on 9/12/2020I don't write many reviews and I have never "revisited" a review that I have written, but for some reason, this was an exception. I saw the comment left by the Vendor with a request to call them if I wasn't satisfied, so I did. I was pleasantly surprised, the woman that took my call was very pleasant and offered to refund my money for all three bags if I wasn't satisfied. We also discussed the "Best if Used By Date" which I couldn't seem to find and I was advised that it isn't always at the same place on the bag, depending on where the bag was packaged.I had two bags left, so I transferred the Sprays into a zip-lock bag, and carefully examined the two original bags to look for the date...and I actually found it on the last bag I bought...the one that seemed to contain the driest product. Although it was hard to read, the date was 1/22, so the Sprays were well within the usable time frame. The date on the other bag was too faint to read.So...this presented something of a dilemma for me. I certainly want to change my one star rating given that the Vendor was so cooperative, and that there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the product. I don't like dealing with seeds falling off as I handle the Sprays, but I don't have any experience with anyone else's product, so maybe this is just the way they all are? And, these things aren't for me, they're for the two new Budgies, and dry or not, they really love this stuff...which makes it worthwhile, regardless of the fact that I may have to get the vacuum out every time I handle them.Which is why I have upgraded my review to 5 stars.Ver más

Great price and your birds will love it!

My birds. 2 parakeets and 2 cockatiels love these treats. I love the price quality and amount. They get a bit messy, but it’s such a joy to watch how much the birds enjoy the flavor of this treat.

Budgies (parakeets) love this millet

Update: Re-ordered and received a great bag this time. My budgies love it!Previous review:It’s a gamble whether I’ll receive a good bag, and this time the millet sprays were beaten to the point of some bare stalks and seeds laying in the bottom of the bag and spilling out a small hole, plus the expiration date is very close. The inside of the bag is a mess. And these just don’t look fresh. I don’t feed my budgies anything that has questionable quality and freshness. Two stars because I have had some good quality products from this brand, but not this time.Ver más

Parrots love millet

Parrots love a sprig of millet for a treat. Was not protected in mailing envelope so lost quite a bit off stem. Glad Meyers Parrot will eat loose buds mixed in with dry food!

Birds likes them but not the best.

Kaytee Spray Millet is a beloved treat among pet bird owners for its natural appeal and nutritional benefits. It comes in convenient spray form, which can be easily hung in cages or offered as a hand-held snack for birds. The millet sprays are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, promoting overall health and well-being for birds. Birds enjoy pecking at and nibbling on the millet, which provides both mental stimulation and a tasty treat. However, owners should be mindful of offering it in moderation due to its relatively high fat content. The product's quality and freshness are generally good, though proper storage is essential to maintain its integrity. Overall, Kaytee Spray Millet is a popular choice for bird enthusiasts seeking to enhance their pets' diet with a nutritious and enjoyable treat.Rating: 4.5/5Pros:Nutritious supplement with essential vitamins and minerals.Birds enjoy the taste and texture, providing mental stimulation.Convenient spray form for easy feeding and handling.Good quality and freshness.Variety of packaging options available.Cons:Should be offered in moderation due to high fat content. Can be messy if not properly contained or managed.Regular purchase can add to overall bird care costs. This review highlights the benefits and considerations of using Kaytee Spray Millet Treat for Pet Birds, offering insights into its appeal and potential drawbacks based on user experience and nutritional analysis.Ver más

Birds love it

My Tiels love it, their favourite millet yet!Awesome product, but expensive for the amount you get - which could speak to the fact of its quality.Other brands offer more millet for less money, but the quality is poor.

The millets are pretty good. It does not smell like millets tho. I think they sprayed chemicals on it. Overall my bird love it. It's a great treat. Would buy it again
