Grandson loved it...
Got this for our grandson, who's getting into music now. His eyes lit up when he unwrapped this drum set. I looked over several different brands before buying this set, and listened to ones that had a video available. Most sounded tinny and cheap, but this Pyle set sounded great. Once delivered, it did not disappoint. The snare sounded like a snare, and the tom-toms were great too. You can tailor each sound to what you'd like it to be by setting up a user program. Set up is quite easy... all you need to do is plug the pedals and power cord in and you're ready to go. Would buy this one again.Ver másVer menos

Great sounds, midi doesn't work very well though
At first, I didn't really like this very much and was put off by how much space it took up on my desk. But after the 2nd day of playing it, it's a pretty awesome piece of equipment. The sounds it has are very good, at least upon going through and testing various kicks. It's a solid sounding instrument. It doesn't make too much noise in the headphone out, either, which is good for my recording purposes. I think there is definitely something to be said for actually playing drum parts for songs, as opposed to letting a drum machine or virtual drummer do it all for you.The part that I don't like about it is the midi aspect. When I plugged this into my computer via USB, I excepted it to be better than it was. This, to me, is probably the biggest downfall of the machine. It still plays drum sounds when plugged in, much like a midi interface even. Also, it is WAY too quiet when functioning as a midi controller. I don't know if this is Logic's drum plugin's fault or what, but I found it better to record the line out through the headphone jack. This is kind of a shame because I could edit the drum rhythm had it played well through midi, as well as quantize and add "swing" to the groove this way, aside from also choosing specific kits or drum sounds. I haven't completely given up on the midi functionality yet, but it does seem to be more functional using its own sounds.Overall, I think this is a really nice piece of equipment, and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone pretty much.Ver másVer menos

A great product at a reasonable price.
The Pyle PTEDO3 appears to be a well made quality item. The pad rebound is very close to a real drum head and are sensitive enough for doubles, triples,flams,and accent notes. However, doubles and triples are a bit tricky, but with a little practice you'll get the hang of it. The foot pedals work well. I recommend placing the actual switch under the ball of your foot. The pedals do tend to slide around. The cymbal pads seem small to me,and the Hi Hat pad is in the wrong place, I suspect this is due to the size constraints of the kit. The whole kit mounts on a 14 inch snare drum stand and is very stable. The headphones allow me to practice without waking the whole house with the clack clack clack of my practice pad. Everything on this kit is fully adjustable; pad sensitivity and volume, drum and cymbal sounds, music tempo and metronome speed. Overall this is a quality kit that is reasonably priced, plays well and performs as advertised. It comes with a 3 year warranty from Pyle. If you're looking for a kit that doesn't take up much space, then this is it. Don't waste your money on those cheap "Roll Up" kits. I highly recommend it for beginners and more advanced players. Versatile
I really like this drum machine. It has numerous instrumental "song" settings that allow me to play along with on my guitar and bass. Learning to utilize it as a drum kit will take some work but there's nothing better than having a rhythmic beat to aid in meter and consistency while jamming. The digital sound quality is very good at this price point. My wife plays piano so we can enjoy making music as a duo. In a word....it's fun!Ver másVer menos

Perfect gift for my son!
My son is only a toddler, but he is obsessed with music, especially drums. We have been trying to slowly introduce him to real instruments, instead of "kids" music toys as he has been growing up. For Christmas, we wanted to get him a drum kit to replace his 5-gallon bucket drums, but were concerned that it would be too loud as he is learning to play. We bought this unit based on the great reviews, its small footprint, the logical pad layout, its foot pedals, and its ability to control the volume.He has only had it a few days, but he loves it...and I have to admit, I love it too! This drum kit sounds amazingly real and the speakers are clear enough to fool the ear if you were to listen from another room. We set it up on a small coffee table, and he has already pulled up his chair there as permanent fixture in our home! He loves to reach up to the dial to switch up the drum kits to get different sounds, and I love how simple it is to control the volume of his play. The pads are sensitive enough to respond to his little hands in the hand percussion mode, and the plastic seems durable enough to withstand his not-so-perfect aim with the drum sticks. Still is great shape and functioning after 9 months of use.We are learning to play together and we could not be happier with the purchase.Ver másVer menos

Great kit, flimsy pedals
After playing a ‘real’ drum kit for several decades it was nice to find a small affordable alternative. This clamps perfectly onto a snare stand, and sounds good. The only problem is the how flimsy the pedals are. Searching for sturdier replacement pedals that will work with this. No luck so far.Ver másVer menos
