Best foundation ever
Best foundation ever. Applied correctly (an even, thin layer using a foundation brush) this foundation looks flawless, natural, covers imperfections and lasts ALL DAY. I have very oily skin and the wrong makeup will just slide off my skin within hours. This stuff really lasts and lasts but does not look heavy or overdone. I love this so much, I even used it for my wedding after being extremely unhappy with a trial with a professional makeup artist who used "professional" products on my face.My skin has only broken out when I've accidentally fallen asleep with my makeup on, and even then it's not a crazy breakout.They have a huge selection of colors, but since it's so cheap, I normally have 2 or 3 colors on hand to mix my own shade based on how pale or suntanned I am at that moment.I like using a primer with foundation because in my head I feel it acts as a barrier.... and it seems to look a little better. I used to use Smashbox Photofinish light Primer, but that's just a waste of money. I now use Rimmel's Fix and Perfect Pro, which works just as good and is a fraction of the price. But that is ALL I use with this foundation. Primer, Colorstay foundation, and that's it. I don't use anything to set it. It's that awesome.Before discovering this gem of a foundation at my local drugstore, I dabbled in some of the more expensive department store and Sephora foundations and spent A LOT of money for disappointing results. Once I discovered Colorstay (using Makeup Alley's reviews) in 2009 I have never looked back. If you're reading this review and have never tried it, I encourage you to try it out for yourself. If you're very unsure about which shade to get, I would recommend you purchase a shade that is your skin tone, maybe a little lighter, and one that is darker so you can formulate your own perfect custom shade.Ver másVer menos
