Summer in DC
I live in a swamp. Well, it used to be a swamp, anyway. That said, the humidity during the Summer in the nation's capital can be pretty brutal, and your standard cotton, or linen shirt just can't hope to keep you feeling like anything other than a soggy mess. Enter the Tamiami II:The material wicks sweat away easily, there are multiple vents along your back AND in the front (the interior of each pocket is simple mesh, allowing air to flow freely), and I get compliments on the color and style every time I wear it. I'd originally purchased the shirt for traveling through Europe in June, but it's now become my go-to for any hot sticky day.They DO run large/loose. As a fit person with broad shoulders, I normally wear a Medium or Large (depending on manufacturer) in normal cotton button-downs. For this Columbia shirt, I bought a Small and it fits just right in the shoulders, without too much blousing at the waist. I wear it untucked, of course.After several washes, there is some pilling, but it's marginal at best.Overall, it's a durable, comfortable, nice looking shirt that does its best to keep you cool and looking good while everyone around you wilts in the heat.Ver másVer menos
