I own one of these devices. It's smaller than the 1500VA Back UPS Pro that I also have, but it's handy for running just our family server and the router that is the centerpiece of our home network. It's small enough to just slide in on top of the server itself, and robust enough to power one computer and a router for quite a while in the event of a sudden power outage. It operates like any other UPS in that the devices plugged into it are running off the battery and the battery is being continually recharged, so when the power goes, your devices don't flicker because there is no change-over, the UPS just starts beeping to let you know the power is out. It also has an Ethernet in/out port so you can run network lines through the UPS to act as a surge suppressor on those networks.There's no built-in LCD to give you information, but it's also a smaller, less powerful unit built for different purposes than its more expensive counterparts. Also, only about half of the ports are actually powered by the battery, the other ones are "surge only" and will actually lose power if your power goes out, so make sure that the devices you want it to power are actually connected to the ports labeled for battery backup. I'm still giving it 5 stars though because for its price and intended purpose, it is an outstanding product. If you want to get an UPS and only plan on running a small number of devices like a computer or television, this is a good investment to protect those devices during power outages, surges, etc.Ver másVer menos
