  Love these socks!

  These compression socks are a life saver. I have suffered from varicose veins for years. I have six kids, and each pregnancy my veins have become more painful. When I first started having problems, my doctor did not give me a lot of direction as too what kind of compression socks I should buy. I wasted a lot of money buying socks that were not the right fit, or would not last long. Then I found these socks by JOBST, and I wish I had found them earlier!I really liked these open toe, thigh high socks. I used to buy compression socks that covered my toes - and they would quickly get hole in the toe and heel. The holes would make the socks uncomfortable, and I had to mend them or buy a new pair. The open toe feature helps me not to feel suffocated in the thick compression sock. When I have a hard day and my legs start to ache, and put these on, and I feel like I have a new pair of legs. They help the circulation in my legs and help with tender areas where blood is pooling. When I am pregnant I wear these almost ever day after I am 4 - 5 months a long. They can be hot and itchy (if I haven't shaved my legs) but they take away the aches and pains. I used one pair for my last pregnancy. I would wear them during the day, wash them at night and then line dry. By morning they would be clean and ready to go. With all that washing they held up awesome! No holes or tears! Also, I have had thigh high compression socks that would slip. These socks did not slip. Having your socks slip down can be uncomfortable and embarrassing! These socks never slipped! They would stay right in place! If you have achey sore legs from varicose veins, these socks will help you so much!!!Ver másVer menos

  The most comfortable compression stocking made

  Having had several blood clots in my leg many years ago, damaging the valves, my left leg swells if not elevated especially when traveling or sitting for long hours. I had stopped using previous compression stockings due to bunching that cut off circulation, sliding down my thigh, or simply being too uncomfortable. Faced with a 3 day drive most of the way across the country, I knew I needed something to prevent swelling and risking another clot and tried these stockings. Amazing! Although still a little bit of a wrestling match to put on (first thing in the AM is best), they stayed put, didn't bunch up and cut off circulation, and were extremely comfortable. Even after 10 to 12 hours of driving, both legs at the end of the day were the same size for all 3 days of the trip.Ver másVer menos

  Good compression, good value

  I have lymphedema in one leg due to medical treatments on that side (surgery, radiation & chemo) and need to wear full length compression on that leg every day. These Jobst compression thigh high stockings have become my top choice so far--they give good compression, are not too difficult to get on, and hold up well so far. After a few months I did move down a size to get a bit more compression (I was very borderline on the size chart), so it might take more than one pair to get your ideal fit. The silicone top band usually works fine--sometimes it feels a bit too constrictive and on one stocking it just won't stay up--rolls into a little band. So not perfect. They do gradually stretch out, so it's good that they are relatively affordable.Ver másVer menos

  Unhappy with this brand - sizing, color, binding and appearance

  After wearing a different brand initially, I ordered these since they were a little less expensive. I followed the sizing chart provided. Immediately out of the box I didn’t like the color - much yellower and obvious at a glance that I was wearing them. They had a dark line the whole way up in front and back, as well. It took a lot longer to get on and were obviously tighter than the other brand. They bunched up in front of my ankle which the other brand did not.I wore them the whole day as prescribed and found them to be less comfortable, not as soft, tighter and the next morning I still had red lines from where they bunched up even though the edema has disappeared after wearing the other brand.Since they are not technically defective. Amazon doesn’t offer a return option for a used product with the exception of offering the cost of shipping to keep the product.I’ve cancelled other non-shipped Jobst compression stockings and am returning an unopened box I did receive.I will pay the extra cost of the other product since my experience with those is superior.Pros: less expensiveCons:Not carried by doctor officesThere only 2 color optionsBeige is unappealing - too yellow and artificial lookingRougher to the feelSmall is much tighter than other brand smallsDark folds linesBunches and pinches at the anklesToo did slide a bit and rolledI’ve posted photos that show the bunching and the marks still there 14 hours later.   Excellent!

  After undergoing two varicose vein procedures, I had to wear compression socks for 3 weeks. I honestly thought it was going to be a nightmare because they looked so tiny and "strong", I was afraid I would not be able to put them on and/or wear for 12 hours straight. To my surprise, once I learned how to put them, it was easy and they made a difference in my recovery. No pain or discomfort while wearing them, wash and dry very well (no shrinkage), not bulky at all. I had tried a different brand before and had to return. These were middle of the road as far as price goes and I would highly recommend them!Ver másVer menos
